DJI Mavic Air battery failure and crash
Footage of a problem with a slightly inflated battery DJI Mavic Air - the battery capacity suddenly drops from 90% to 0% and the drone then makes an emergency landing (vertical speed 15 km per hour, with the lower sensors off = really hard ground touch).
In the event of an emergency landing over water, dense forest or concrete surface the drone may be lost or damaged.
Firmware in the latest version. (2019-09-21). The battery was 16 months old, less then 100 cycles, slightly inflated.
Some inflated batteries work properly until they are physically fractioned, but some may fail earlier. Do not use inflated or otherwise damaged batteries.

The black screen above the speedometer (@ 1,47) is attached with 2 screws. In your movie these screws were not attached. Normally it is a pain in the #ss to get there.
I am during that process of removing those screws, any advice?
Are the two holes on the dashboard (shown at 1:50) free from screws ? aren't they in some way fixed to the cover ?

Did you ever learn any more about this issue. This just happened to me. 58% - 0% in 38% seconds. Mavic Air auto landed in water. Ruined it. I had the DJI Refresh Plus - but they still charged me $69 for a replacement - even though the flight record shows the battery failing. Any thoughts?

Same thing happened to me: th-cam.com/video/TOSWy_h-Ce8/w-d-xo.html I have two batteries bought before May 2018 and have the same problem. One crashes at 25% and one at 40% There was an update at the beginning of 2019 that said will fix this error but it wasn't.
damn this happend to me with al 3 batterys.the problem is indeed you can do nothing it juist begin to deccent.......
Hello, the same thing happened to me, 64% battery, 43 seconds of flight, "critical low voltage" red message, 59% to 0% battery and forced landing !! Incredible that such a thing could happen without any warning of faulty battery, after a year of trouble-free use I lost the confidence on the reliability of my Air! 🤬 PS.Firmware in the latest version. Hi, if you mean stepper motors on the dashboard for fuel gauge and temperature - yes, but you need to desolder and solder them (4 contacts per motor). One costs on aliexpress around 2 Euro - search "27 168 Stepper Motor".
