Josh Presley
Canada
เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 4 ต.ค. 2011
Josh Presley is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt and one of the most accomplished jiu-jitsu practitioners on the east coast of Canada. Dedicating and focusing his life on the art since a young age he went from an out of shape, overweight teenager to a dedicated athlete, and now an exceptional teacher. Presley is one of the top lightweight Canadian competitors of the 2010’s with medals from the IBJJF World Championships, Pan American Championships, and Abu Dhabi World Pro Trials. Training with legendary black belts (Ryan Hall, Cobrinha, Jon Thomas) and competing against tough international competition has driven him to pass his knowledge on to the next generation of BJJ athletes. His goal is to give students the tools to progress faster than Presley did himself.

SAMBISSION OF ZE YEARRR
Elon muck is a bjj black belt so he would smash mark
Learned this a few weeks ago in class. Absolutely loved it. I look for this transition all the time now while rolling.
What a great interview Love these types of talks Keep them coming 👊🏻
Thank you! 🙏
i have never done and type of combat training but i got in a street fight and i locked in a leg lock and broke his leg
The Machachoke
I learned this a few years ago from John salter he called it the short arm darce
they should name it after him
It has a name it's called a short darce , it's been around over a decade but was pretty much used when you failed to fully get a normal darce but I think with islams influence people are gonna go straight for the short darce instead of trying to get a normal darce.
I just started doing this too like 3 months ago just randomly and now it's been done in high level mma Its cool how these things pop up
he’s been doing this for years
Wow man you started all this, you a geniuz
Sambission
Joe Rogan thievery 😂
Why is bro choking out dana white
lmao😂
Rogan
grrrrrrrrrrd
this version of the darce really seems easier to get into and finish compared to the traditional way, can’t wait to try this while rolling
You need to be ripped tho. Islam said he squeezed with his lats
It is easier I tried it in live roll
It's 100 percent easier to get into from a front headlock position but if you have longer arms it's actually harder to finish from there , but with shorter arms it's easier. That's why it's called short arm darce or short darce
How does the other person counter this?
Get a under hook on the red guys left arm to avoid him from rolling
So Aoki Footlock basically.
This is the way that I learned first from a Dean Lister seminar.
stolen from dean lister
I dont grapple but that makes it look easier to get your leg free.
not if u want a working foot when u escape lol
@@owenschwinn226good luck setting that up though and controlling the other leg.
@@visrupt happens a lot in grappling
@@visruptdon’t need to control the other leg. The first thing you said was “I don’t grapple” but you proceeded to act like you had any clue what you were talking about.
@Kam-yd1ql fair enough 😂
Finally a tatic to teach my brother to stop being a pu$$y and not just lay back on the couch and kick
Do you squeeze with the lats too???
You know you're canadian when a random Belgian comes across your short, never having seen one of them, and can identify you as a east-canadian just by the way you say "Urmburr frum the gurrd"
About to try this in class tomorrow
Awesome! Thank you! Can you post a sweep from that position?
Someone hits a double like that You can probably just stand up
i didn't know that move could even be executed on someone who wasn't cooperating. that's wild
Good work putting it all on the mat fellas! 👏 👏👏
Yo thanks a lot, me and my friend wrestle and do BJJ and he always beats me with a double leg takedown
U might not wanna do it the way it was shown, its not bad but there are safer ways to do the move without falling on ur butt😅
What if he bridges really hard to his right? It seemed like you were leaned pretty far to one side. Is that ok?
That's still missing more than a bit of detail..... all of which I learnt at white belt😏
This is like 30 second video and it explains just one thing - white belt journey is a bit longer
You actually shouldn’t have to lift up at all if you know what you’re doing
What? How else
@ dragged the elbow to his side in the tap. Is there immediately.
@@GarfieldThompsonIV like more than he already did?
@ yes
@@85576 it’s better to do it from side control
And you ass against his groins…😂😂😂
Great job 👏
Thank you for the help, coach Arm triangles are my fav submissions and these details helped me get them more consistently 🙏🏽
But what if we dont have the slidy slidy mats
Man stricklands brother is so humble and chill
Nice!!
Not a scarf hold.
No one asked......
Nice variation!👍 very good demo at a perfect pace to see all the important details!👏
This is exactly how I would expect a fight with a spider monkey to go. Minus the ball’s and eyes being ripped out
I see you
There's a good translation to a ninja choke after that escape 🤙🏼
Out there earning that name!
I hope the guy that lost realized he just rolled with one of the worlds best lb for lb fighters. Awesome performance from both of them
Bradley Martin got no hope
Undeniable proof of being the P4P GOAT 🐐
I love Dana ...but he fuked up on mighty mouse...and did him wrong... Demetrious as as good as it gets inside and outside the ring....i would love to see him un retire himself to fight Pantoja....and make Dana pay large...thats a fukn money fight ...period..🎉🎉❤❤
