Hurricane Helene Damage Assessment with Jimmy
Flew over the Gulf Beaches with Jimmy today to assess the damage from Hurricane Helene. Stopped in Brooksville, FL to have lunch with Hernando County Sheriff Al Nienhuis. Fly back to Plant City to finish up doing some training with Jimmy to get him ready for his helicopter add-on check ride in November.

Pre-solo Flight Training with Jimmy

This is some of the pre-solo training I did with Jimmy before his first solo. I wanted to make sure he could do 180 Autos and other emergency prior to his first solo in the pattern.
Flight training at space Coast regional with Jimmy
มุมมอง 6K14 วันที่ผ่านมา
Jimmy flew over from Plant city and we got together and did some flight training at a space Coast regional. We went out by the St. John’s River did a couple little river runs and worked on some confined area operations and some auto rotations.
Jimmys World, Schweizer flight training and maintenance with Joe
มุมมอง 8K14 วันที่ผ่านมา
We did some cross-country training and maneuvers training today in Jimmy’s Schweizer 300. Flew over the freedom factory to wave at Cletus McFarland and did a little pattern work at Cletus‘s new Airpark in Myakka, Florida. We noticed that the front struts were starting the squat a little bit more than normal. Jimmy and I disassembled the struts and service them per the maintenance manual. Jimmy ...
Rotorway A600 Talon Annual Conditions inspection
มุมมอง 97328 วันที่ผ่านมา
Headed up to New Hampshire to work with Paul on his A600 Talon. We conducted 100 hour rotor hub maintenance and an annual conditions inspection did a little bit of a training the next day to re-endorse Paul to be able to solo at altitude.

Maintenance and flying with Jimmy from Jimmys World
มุมมอง 8Kหลายเดือนก่อน
Helped Jimmy with some aircraft maintenance on the Schweitzer 300. We installed new front skid shoes. Replace the oil and oil filter and greased the main rotor hub. Then later in the afternoon we flew for a couple hours of flight training. Jimmy is progressing very well and should be getting his helicopter add-on in the next couple months.

Flight training with Jimmy from Jimmys World

I got the awesome opportunity to do flight training with Jimmy from Jimmys World. Jimmy just purchased the Schweitzer 300 CB from Cletus McFarland. Hopefully, we’ll see Jimmy solo and the near future. Jimmy has asked me to train him through his commercial helicopter add-on rating.
Rotorway training with Sam

Went to Mobile AL area and met up with Sam. He is breaking in a newly built Joe Huff 160 normally aspirated engine. This engine is a beast. You can do vertical takeoffs at max gross weight and not have the complexity of a turbo charger.

seeing lots of chatter on the new rule for maintenance operations on the forums.. Got the monthly swap meet in Brooksville this weekend I see also. snagged some special sockets to do Bell mediums there and a couple pair of Duck bill pliers even at previous ones
Love the vids!!!!!
I love the serenity of autorotations.
Voice over would be good.
This situation is where choppers rally come in to their own :-)
The gators are extra incentive not to stack it in the swamp.
Love the altimeter setting
Thats unfortunate
Jimmy could apply for a job as a helicopter pilot for cattle mustering in Australia.
If Jimmy's watching this, fixed wing or rotary for fun?
love all the video's ! USMC MOS (6122)
If you guys are in the area again you should stop by the Valliant Air Command. We're just on the other side of the airfield, would be my pleasure to give you guys a tour. We also have a helicopter being flown in somewhere in October which will be de-milled on site and put on display.
I think Jimmy is training to be an astronaut 😂
Was hoping for some Clarence Clearwater Revival on that river run....LOL

Not a fan of the valkyries.
Why were you removing the engine
You're going to have to fly down to KCHN during the first week of April for Bensen days. A lot of rotor heads, mostly gyros, will be there. I may even fly up to KPCM for a visit during that week.
we used he work RMBAM Rotor motor ball airspeed Mayday, then at 100 ft ARAB area made rotor green airspeed ball(skids straight).
G,day from Sydney Australia. Great short video of auto rotation landing. The pilot obviously doesn't have much time to have the helo on skids or wheels. No glide at all? 🌏🇦🇺
Very informative
Great instruction
Jimmy, what a great instructor you have
Newbie flying low on an gator & snake infested swamp - ya not me! LOL have a blast!
Yeah. And then the engine quits and you're swimming with alligator.
You think that watch is big enough.
If that engine quits over the St. John’s a big ole gator will gobble you up.
This flying over the river looks so great! These fluent S-turns! must be so much fun!! Great video! Thanks and greetings from Poland!!
JImmy, Safety glasses when servicing those struts
Cool, but you can only tie the record for low flying. Kinda not a good example by CFI…
The cfi is a high hours highly experienced pilot for over decades. He knows what h is doing. Of course he can show Jimmy the capability of this helicopter. 🚁 The cfi is flying these maneuvers over the river, not the student. So that is totally ok if Jimmy agrees on this kind of flying. Right?
Just noticed this.. and find it funny that the turn (skid/slip) indicator is a fixed wing aircraft icon. 😮
My home turf right there. Flew my float plane over that exact location a lot and did a couple thousand skydives just north of there at Arthur Dunn. Great video, definitely made me home sick.
Dude, I have seen you at TICO ! LOL
Approaching to a hover isn’t always easy than it looks and especially looking for something to aim at with your eyes and very little small movements with the cyclic and throttle and movement of yaw factor: Beautiful to watch and Jimmy is definitely 💯
You are making it look easy. My Dad Flew the Ch47 Chinook for 16 years in the Texas Air National Guard.
It is nice to fly something, Jimmy, that can approach a landing zone slowly and carefully. Hovering is like balancing three brooms on feet and hands while working the motorcycle grip throttle. Dynamic and proactive feet and hand continuous movement with some wrist grip. I flew the Mattel Messerschmitt at Ft. Wolters. The river run was a lot faster than we flew the Hughes 500/OH6-A loach in Vietnam. We had to go slow enough, even hover, to blow the vegetation away to find Victor Charlie. Good job. Good video.
Wetlands with birds in them could be a problem to fly a helicopter at that altitude. double check your Regs on flying over wetlands
I did my private at space coast 30 years ago, NASA let us fly alongside the runway just after the shuttle had landed and was still cooling down. I doubt you'd be allowed within five miles of it today.
Damn Jimmy,... You look like you're really enjoying yourself.
Oh good Jimmy. You got a helmet. 😜😜😜your value must be going up, more protection. LOL
Jimmy hovering around like a dragonfly in a swamp. Admit it, aren't helicopters more fun?
Jimmy don’t dip your skids in the water because you’ll only do it once!
Not if you're hovering when you do it.
Love watching that low level flying reminds me hedge hopping in a westland wessex in Northern Ireland 🇬🇧
You are Lucky to have this privilege of flying this type of helicopter.
if he is trainee shouldnt he be referring to you are your highness?? On his way to make coffee BTW
Hey Jimmy I love the videos, You need to get my friend from school on the show, Steve Alcorn and his Wife, I saw him at our 50th class reunion. He told me he knew you. Get her done son..
I like the videos but no offense, the sound quality is awful. You can't hear Jimmy at all and the guy with the camera goes loud and soft....wish I could lip read.
Good to see Jimmy can follow instructions. Save a Aerostar
Great stable flying <3 =)
😄👌 Great stuff. 👏
Joseph, you a good man to help Jimmy fix his bird and through that I'm stoked to find your channel!! Great content brother 👍🏼
