I’ll be honest- I had never given Kesha’s music much thought. I fell asleep at the beach (thank you, god) and woke up listening to a different podcast; realized it was Kesha on Broken Record, talking about her new album, “Gag Order”. I slowly realized that Kesha is very much in the same spiritual vein as Tori Amos- very Christian upbringing, they’ve faced some similar trauma, they’re both doing what they can to walk their talk, and they can both receive cringing from people who probably aren’t really listening. That first listen of “Gag Order” blew my mind, and I just HAD to see if their paths had crossed in a way I could see. So thank you so much for posting this. There’s definitely some spiritual resonance between them.
