music made my toes curl especially when talking at the same time, otherwise cool.
Thanks a lot Sir, ... I'm presently in the build and I'm not sure if I have everything about electronic. Do you have a plan to share ?
Sorry, no plans, just use the diagram from the board. It wasn't that difficult. Have fun.
Nice video but the music track is annoying and doesn't work with the video.
Your camera work sucks. Just sayin. Keep the damn camera steady. And should've kept it zoomed out. No common sense.
use a head tracker on the camera and put a heading hold gyro on it to make straight lines how shaky is the video on that selfie stick? can you record with those googles and put up an FPV vid? maybe a camera gimble would work? i wonder if they respond fast enough for the bumps in the lawn
It looks bloody cool. 😀👍

The problem with metro north as with blue ridge and Indian Springs and now independence center is all the roving ethnic groups starting fights and shootings. Happened to bannister as well. Happening to oak park now. Great idea putting section 8 housing across from a mall. Nothing could go wrong.
What a waste.Throw away society.
This isn't virtual reality. Its virtually reality.
Yea, very innovative, improvised solution. But you dived into the details without a broad overview. Eg. Are the blades driven by a gasoline engine and the wheels by the batteries?
The rc/drive system is independent of the mower system with the exception of the shut off/brake.
I’ve had a Shark 501v for over 12 yrs and always kept it clean and free of clogs. I also do the basic maintenance. Recently it failed to pick up anything so I went through the drill starting from bottom up. I cleared a small clog, replaced all filters and still the same. Weird thing is it has plenty suction above the bottom part and using the hose. The motor sounds normal and the brushes rotate but no suction from the bottom. A closer inspection of the bottom assembly showed a couple small fine stress cracks but still together around the area where the hose connects to the main canister part. Would this be reason for no suction from the bottom?
Check the tube at the bottom behind the roller.
Brilliant! now charge the battery from the Gas motor and remote Start it
I want Goggle DVR!!!!
Interesting. I’ve been toying with building a big one from a 50 or 60” tow behind, but I’m not sure if the typical wheelchair motor would handle it. Figured I could use throttle/rudder for tilt/pan gimbal. Would like to see beside and behind the machine for safety. Elevon control for motors/steering on the right stick.
Electric wheel chairs will weight anywhere from 150-250lbs, and have a rider weight rating of 300+lbs depending on the model. I think a tow behind is very doable. My current build is for just a 21" push mower, but I'd like to upgrade it to a full riding mower deck 40"+, but I will have to figure out how to power the deck and 24V alternator. Right now the Alternator runs off the self propel pully and belt, so in theory it will charge itself up, and never need to be plugged in. Others have done it, so I am sure it will work.
checkout motionsic RC for gimbles
Try to find an Hoveround HPV5 36V motors. They might be able your weight requirements. They are built like tanks and can move quite a bit of weight. Good luck.
My brush roller cover does not come off is it melted
Sooooo, where is the Llosa of suction part? Is there a motor that could go bad on them, mine just quit. There was clog fixed it but still nothing.
Check the tubes from the bottom up. They all come apart fairly easily with clips. When the motor goes out it usually makes a high pitched squeel or a gear tooth is broken. Ours lasted about 10 years with constant use and two big dogs.
Thanks for the video. IIRC the handlebar spring that kills the mower has it's own wire to a ground that shorts the coil, in which case you could use a bosh style relay that grounds that wire.
It kills the spark plug only. It doesn't do anything to stop the blade from spinning. I didn't want to compromise the safety of the spring which applies pressure to the break.
Could you please tell me the rubber band part # (thanks)
I was fixing that for a friend. You will have to find the model number on you vacuum and look it up on Google.
His leg did get bitten off, the camera just doesn’t point down.
Thank you for this video, I'm trying to get my shark to get the suction back. I found a large clog in intake area and I think I need a new filter. I think I will be able to get it to work properly.
You can take the entire suction path apart. Get a wire coat hanger that your not using for clothes, it makes a great tool for this if needed for the long pipe section. A new filter set couldn't hurt, or wash the sponge filter.
@@chainrection774 thank you, I will do that. I ordered new filters. I pulled out a huge clog.
Looks like a mother guarding her eggs! Same thing happened to me once.

Lying to get views smh, should be titled alligator 20 feet away scared an idiot who wasn't bitten ... But some people wish otherwise
Maybe I missed it; could you share more info about the motors you chose? Im looking into using either 2 or 4 motors. I'd like to know what torque and rpm others are using. I havent decided on wheel size yet, but I'm leaning towards 8" to 10" pneumatic tires. If I go with a high rpm motor, (higher than is necessary) I can reduce the max throttle in the channel mixer on my transmitter to the exact top speed I like. I'm worried about using motors with too little torque.
The motors i have are pride z. I don't have the full specs. I would definitely go with 10" wheels if you can. I bought second hand and didn't have a choice. The speed can be throttled back on the transmitter. I believe it is under exponential value?? It was mentioned in another reply in this video, I'm sure you can find plenty on the transmitter on here as well. I can't comment on the torque but I would figure it is linked to the max amperage of your batteries. I did add giant 13" wheels to it at one time with no torque issues but took them off due to fast battery drain. I don't like seeing my wheels slip in wet grass when I'm watching from a distance cause I know that is lost power.
Awesome!
Can you replace a basic RC receiver with an Arduino to make it autonomous? Basically then use gps/waypoints with it. I want to make an rc mower without the engine/cutting portion to free up the weight. I want it to roam my grassy lot that's .2 acres.
I would look into LIDAR integration. I didn't want to go fully autonomous due to safety and extensive development. It should be possible though.
i guess socialism isnt working out so well
Can you explain more about the ground from the rc receiver to sabertooth? I have a very similar build as you and have my receiver power and ground coming from a separate 5v power supply similar to yours. I do not have it grounded to the sabertooth. I occasionally get some twitchy inputs and have low range for a 2.4ghz controller, I just attributed those issues to vibration and rf from the mower itself running. I will be adding a ground to see if my issues subside. Like you said they are a constant work in progress. Thanks for sharing!
Yeah, just make sure ground is tied between the sabertooth and receiver. Mine didn't work until I did that. Just for the signal at least, but all ground should also go to the chassis.
Can you elaborate on the ground issue? I'm not following the problem. Thanks
I am curious about building one and making it FPV but I'm curious about the vibration in your fpv feed? How bad does the vibration show up on the goggles?
It isn't bad at all, at least not any worse than on a drone zipping around. Just make sure it is a wide FOV and you pull separate 12v power if you're running a 24v system. I would recommend bigger box type goggles actually with a big FOV as well. Resolution seems less important.
@@chainrection774 thank you sir, I do alot of fpv and tried it on some of my nitro planes and that was a no go, looked like a blender in the video.
Fucking love it mate
Omg she’s so cute.. and just like that she’s about what 13-14 now!! Time flys right 🥲. I think I have a different model but I think I need to replace the belt
They are all nearly the same of that style. Is the brush no longer rotating?
@@chainrection774 thank you.. you know what it does spin but then it will suddenly start making this loud annoying buzzing noise like something got stuck in it. I’m not sure if it’s the belt or not but thought it wouldn’t hurt to change it but for some reason Shark doesn’t have it (I called) and I can’t seem to find a belt for my NV90 model. eBay & Amazon don’t show one for NV90 but there must be a belt that will fit. I figure I may need to take it to a vacuum shop or something?

@@chainrection774 I bought the flysky controller with receiver. I can’t get the right settings in my radio. I want to split the wheels when turning to make tight turns plus I am mowing on steep hills. I have each wheel going different directions an forward seems ok but steering is not

Hey, Nice job! I'm going to be completely rebuilding my RC mower and am thinking about adding the video capabilities. Can you tell me what setup you have, or what I need to get to add it to my mower?
I will add links in the description later but it is a ev100 for the headset, Wolfwhoop Q1-Pro 0.01/25/200/500/800mW Switchable 5.8GHz 37CH FPV Transmitter, Caddx Ratel Newest FPV Camera 1/1.8'' Starlight HDR OSD 1200TVL 16:9 NTSC camera. I tried a 120 FOV camera before and the field was too narrow. So I went with an 160 or higher. Kind of a give or take on the fov, you need to see around and in front but it distorts the perspective a bit and takes getting used to. I don't get perfect lines in the yard but I don't care, I'm not pushing the dang thing anymore. I added some fatty tires that aren't in this video and I will make a new video sooner or later.
@@chainrection774 Thanks so much...Just moved and I have no shop at the moment but sometime this summer will be up and running. Should be able to start rebuilding mine then.
in the setting on your transmitter you will find something called expos. by increasing/decreasing your expo setting it alters the sensitivity of the stick inputs. Lower the expo setting for the two channels you control the motors with and small adjustments wont be so twitchy while steering. You will have to use more stick input but that increases your accuracy without overshooting.
Just tried those settings, helped a lot. Thank you.
@@chainrection774 Glad it helped. Im right at the time to assemble all the parts for my mower minus a few things that I still need to pick up. I love building things to be lazy with.
I found them but not sure what number to set them to? what a good number for them ?
@@kentanch2601 sorry its been a while but if you havent figured it out... The FlySky radio used here, channel 3 and 4 are mixed together and you will want to lower the expo setting for each channel to say... 50 or 60 and save. then drive it a bit and then return and lower some more and compare the feel. You still have full input range doing this, just not full blast at first touch. You might like channel 4 which controls left and right movement to be even lower than ch. 3 which will be forward and back. That way you will maintain a straight line easier. There is also a setting per channel to dumb down the max input value of full blast. I dont cut the grass at 6 mph so I knocked down those limits to suit lawn mowing instead of drag racing.
No demonstration
