hi mate been watching your videos for the last couple of days and realised your local and fish at the spots i do ive been trying to find spots on the stour recently for some late autumn chub and perch some spots and tips would be great

I've got three zonks, but lack marks that are deep enough to fish them. I can really feel the difference in their action on retrieve, so I'm willing to believe their reputation is deserved.

Just a quick question 2years after your video how are you getting on with the swing arm - it looked fairly wobbly in the last part of your video - the reason I am asking as I am think of getting one very soon - but want to make sure there is not a better swing arm out now?

I purchased the the 9ml for fixed spool reel. After fishing with it for a couple of months I am very happy indeed. Perhaps slightly longer 9'6ml will be a touch better when wading. Still, the 9' weights only 118g and I paired it with the Vanquish 3000xg that weights 170g. I don't think i will ever want to fish with anything else. Why we can't get these rods in the uk, surely they are anglers who would buy it. I sold all my other rods except Daiwa 21 Labrax AGS 9'3 ml that it is my back up rod now and the Shimano Exsense Genos S90MH for windy days when a heavier lure needs to be used. So I am 3 rods man so to speak instead of 7 previously. Seriously, the 9ml infinity rod does 95% of my fishing now. I kepts the Labrax as a back up and it is very good rod that i enjoyed fishing with but in terms of sensitivity and the "feel" it is not in the same ligue as the Infinity but it is half the price. I get my jdm tackle from digitaka or Japan fishing portal. Both are great.

There's 3 different Excense MB.. I imagine this is a ML? 8.8 or 9.6? that info would really help.

So its Basically the SC Knot and you just added a couple of Half hitches. 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄 I sometimes do that to my SCs but I don't rename the knot.. 😅😅

I'm new to bass fishing and I have a question about this lure if you don't mind? I've been fishing a few spots along the north Kent coast from faversham to reculver and I want to use one of these lures but when I'm looking online at them the description calls them deep diving lures. If I'm fishing e.g. from reculver in 4 feet of water am I going to snag up or can I retrieve slower for a shallower dive? Does a slow retrieve work well with these? Apologies that was more than. 1 question. Tha KS on advance for any help you can offer

Drove over from Faversham at 5am and had my first go using a patchinko 100 this morning. Got a little bass just infront of the bubble cafe in not ideal conditions. Just wanted to say thanks for making these videos because i wouldnt have realised i could catch at high tide here unless I'd seen you do it.

I love my authority reel and use it mainly in the surf because of the water sealing and it hasn’t let me down . The only negative thing I can say about it is you can’t spool it all the way to the lip with braid because you get wind knots . If fishing of rocks or beach I use a Shimano twin power which you can feel to the rim and get no wind knots and can cast way further than the penn

I've just started lure fishing off the street recently. Not yet had any luck with the savage gear seekers but I'm going to try a couple of these surface lures I think. I used to live in the town but now moved to Faversham and have a young family so my fishing window is Sunday mornings between 5am and 8am. My question is have you found the fishing off the beach to be any more successful on the ebb or the flow tide? I have really enjoyed watching your videos so thanks for the content and you've got a new subscriber here👍🏻👍🏻

Uni knot has been proven to the best for mono..double uni works to join to braid

The fg knot isn't something can be done well while fishing in the dark windy night..other knots work just fine and quicker easier while on a rick

Do you not use wire traces for Pike these days?

Can you not do live view with either of them

As someone who regularly catches trout in car parks, under road bridges and between blocks of flats, dodging crackheads and unpleasant citizens, your 'Urban' fishing looks like an idyllic countryside jaunt to me 😅nice video though nonetheless as always

Thank you so much! Being a seasoned beach fisherman for many years, I decided to start lure fishing this year and after having been a half a dozen or so times trying various techniques and lures I drew a blank on every occasion. After watching your video I was inspired so gave the Mega Bass Zonk a go this morning. There were three of us lure fishing at low water off the Hamble river shingle bank and we all tried different lures without even a hint of a bite. After about an hour I switched to the Mega Bass Zonk and after a few casts with it, bang!... a nice 3lb bass. ;-)

So how far can your bfs cast the 3 grm? The way you present your video makes no sense.

Brilliant idea tying the line to reel handle when doing an FG knot. Iv'e been wedging my rod in a rock and holding the line in my teeth, awkward enough in my garden let alone when out fishing. Definitely doing that next time.

great video. soo good the season has opened again, and I've fished this stretch a few times. is it allowed to fish for trout during trout season on this stretch? I was never sure so avoided until the coarse season beginning. let me know. keep it up, might bump into you one day

Great video! I've been asking this question myself for a while. The casting test surprised me, I thought there would be a bigger difference! Completely unrelated to the video but what is that backpack? It looks really great for days out with the old rod and line!

Bass reels are garbage, Penn reels are awesome
