What is the name of the glue and polish you used? 9:19 9:21
9:19 This glue is so called “ A B bond” , epoxy resin adhesive. It can be peeled off with hot water and thin tool. 9:21 This is PIKAL, silver polishing made in Japan. There is so many silver polishing agents. You can use any polishing or silver cloth.

I find myself a little unclear as to how much Art Clay Silver SHRINKS when fired. Will it be around 15%? I don't want my rings being too tight! 😄😄
Hey there! I haven't done anything with art clay silver yet, but I found a chart from another video that said art clay silver shrinks 9% PMC shrinks 12% and Prometheus shrinks 21% hope that helps!

Surface doesnt look ultra shiny, is there aome porosity? Like tiny holes after heating to 800 c?

Won’t the epoxy glue turn yellow over time?
I bought a couple of ounces of silver clay. I did not use it right away and left it unopened. Later i got it out and it had dried up totally. I tried adding water but it did no good. What should i have done?
Art Clay Silver can be rehydrated with the following steps: 1. break the clay into small bits 2. wrapped with plastic wrap → add some water →knead 20~ times 3. Leave for a days until get soft

You made 4 prongs only to be able to brush? I am worried it might fall off need few more?
No, it’s just my design. If I choose more expensive stones like ruby or diamonds, I would make many moe prongs. This pink shell is round, flat and not heavy, so 4 prongs design is enough to hold.

Hi, if I wanna make a ring that is size 6 (USA) how many sizes bigger should I make the clay initially? Are sizes 8 or 9 just the right size when it shrinks for a size 6 ring when you fire it?
Hi, thank you for watching! Art Clay Silver shrinks about 10% after fired. To make US size 6 （Inner diameter 16.4cm）, you need to make US size 8 at first. After fired you can file and adjust size with tools.

it looked like you made the mark for the prongs right on the edge of the shell, doesn't the clay shrink and then the prongs would not be in the correct place ??
As you say art clay silver shrink 10％. When making this size of pendant, mark 1mm larger than the shell or stone.

Why does the silver clay ring oxidized very bad after touching water? What I did wrong? Thank you 🙏🏼
You did nothing wrong :-) Pure silver does not oxidized with water, but gradually oxidized in the air. Otherwise, your “water” may contain sulfur, as hot spring water sulfurize silver. Get any silver agent and polish the ring. You can restore the shine of pure silver. This is the first time I tried Silver Clay 925. With normal silver 925 in the ocean my jewelry never got oxidized. That’s why I was surprised with silver clay 925, the jewelry got oxidized 😢 thank you for your respond 🙏🏼

Super beautiful🤩 can I ask how many sizes did you go up? You have a size 13 right? Did you make the ring size 15? I’m still a little scared to make rings, I’m afraid that they don’t fit🙈
Thank you for watching! Yes, I made size 15 with my clients. Make 2 size up（17) and it will be size 15 after fired. If it does not fit, do not worry! You can fix with mallet and wooden core rod. You can also scrape with stick file.

Recently 2 rings I made and torch fired broke in 2 places on the band. Do you have any suggestions to make sure this does not happen again?
Jessica, thank you for watching. I am sorry that your work was not succeed. Solution is as follows: ・Kneading clay 5~10 times first ： If kneading is not enough, components may not be uniformed or contain small air, and may be fragile when baked. ・Do not move until cool down completely ：If move during firing, ring is still soft and easy to break. ・Check the ring size shrinking 10%：torch firing is more difficult to bake sufficiently than using electric furnace. Before firing, draw and take a size of the ring on the paper. After firing, put the ring on the paper and check whether shrinked about 10%. If not, firing is not enough. Art Clay Silver can be fixed with Paste Type even if broken. Next time I would like to show how to fix.
