I don't know why but I feel peanuts are ok to be SLIGHTLY more expensive and I always find they last longer, perhaps I'm just greedy with crisps! So what do you think of £1.50 for peanuts? (not a brand I'd heard of eg KP, Nobbys)

Certainly the worst cabinet I've seen and in the top three poorest boards I've seen. Well I was surprised by this as it in Central London but yes, the pub certainly seemed to have locals in it that are probably always in there so you could say a clique but, in fairness, they seemed reasonably friendly!

It's something I've been working on - trying to be 'reasonable' on all the big numbers as I'm never going to fully master the twenty segment for accuracy!

That's great to hear, make it feel worthwhile making them! I was pleased with this particular checkout, it sure beats being trapped in the cul-de-sac of double one!

Mate I think that's totally fair on reflection, I may have over-graded the board! 36 ties the leaderboard with The Cock Inn which - as I think back - was a better set-up but I think the Value section may have cost them. London next week!

Very good point. The commercial argument is a strong one, on a busy evening at the pub that could generate £100, the only thing I would say is, a pool table probably costs £500-£1k (total guess) whereas a dartboard can be secured @30-50 quid as we know!

It surprised me, really good set-up. Not perfect all round but that darts set-up has a lot going for it! Crazy beer garden/grounds!

Well, it a bit of a long-shot but this is the best Hearts squad in some time - they have a bit of depth now. Could be their only chance as they will probably lose two or three of their top players after this season, now or never.

This would be a safer version of darts for you to play, they're not sharp objects, hard rubber darts!

Oh dear........ffs how embarrassing. One thing to have missed it at the time but to miss this during editing........When editing I just concentrate on making sure my numbers add up, sadly I didn't check to see that the numbers correlated with what was on the board! Perhaps the bounce-out spooked me, I'll go with that anyway. Thanks for the call out!!

Appreciate the positive feedback again Sean! Soft-tip is fun to play but very difficult, I can not say I enjoy it as much or anywhere as close to as much - but then I really love playing steel-tip darts! It is very very popular in Eastern Europe and Asia, probably USA too so it must have attraction, I enjoyed the game on this occasion!

Yes, it is similar in set-up, very arcade-like, always enjoy a throw when I'm on holiday if I can so why not do a short video while I am at it. Yes, I'm no good at soft-tip and thought I'd have to quite on the D20 Challenge so it was a pleasant surprise to see it go in! Back on more familiar territory next week......

Very fair comment buddy, I was cringing as I edited this as I feared you may think exactly this but I hope my video conveyed how much enjoyment I did actually get from this venue by the end! A bit of context that I should have included in the video - I was in a pub previous to this and asked the bartender if he knows of any steel-tip dartboards and showed him a picture of exactly what I mean and he recommend to me Kinema, 100% has this......so you can imagine I was a little disappointed to arrive and see soft-tip only but it was fun!! Perhaps I was sulking when I rated the board.......hope you're having an amazing holiday!!

I'm very pleased to read this comment as I feared I had perhaps over-graded this venue due to really enjoying it (and being slightly tipsy!) However, it was a great old pub and it demonstrates the essence of a pub darts review - it isn't about being a flash establishment. Just need a decent board, well-equipped set-up and reasonable prices! Thanks for watching - definitely something a bit different next week!

Haha, some people claim to play better pool after drinks - I prefer to be sober when playing good pool. Dart six - yes, I thought it was in too, literally touching the wire. Not the best camera angle. Lowest price crisps I have seen in the series!
