I added a date magnifier and swap out the strap to suit my mood. With the stainless bracelet i had a doctor i work accidently mistake it for a rolex submariner and say "hey we are matching!" I laughed and showed him it is a casio duro and he immediately asked where i bought it so he could get one for his upcoming family rafting trip. Its a truly amazing watch that i wear every day

I went to a jeweler who told me you can’t put a jubilee bracelet on a Duro.
@@Alan-lv9rw ouch , not sure why they would say that. The Duro does have weird lugs but definitely not impossible to put on a bracelet.

This watch was never banned from airports. Do some basic research
@@robertkennedy498 I do apologize, information on this subject is definitely out of date and has a lot of conjecture along with it. It gets harder everyday to tell when the internet is telling the truth ! Thanks for tuning in however !
FYI, the watch is not banned when you're wearing it at the airport. However, airport security were brief of possible security threat to any person wearing it. That means, you will get flag down for interrogation.

They’re awesome. So much so I ended up buying two, a silver one with the green LEDs like yours and the classic gold with the red LEDs. So much bang for the buck and with its own great bit of history too. I absolutely love ‘em!

If this watch was even 2mm smaller I would have bought multiple colorways. At 44mm it's just too big for my tiny 6.25" wrist, for my taste at least
@@GnarledBarks understand completely! It’s right on the edge for myself but I love it no less , so much so I have 2 ! The best midsize diver I have found is the orient ray ! Check it out !

Casio for some strange reason always include the crown , which is 3 mm , so this one is 41 mm
@@casteltheghettomonk4392no. Casio usually include the crown in measurement, but not in case of the Duro. It is really 44,2 mm without the crown. With the crown it is around 47 mm. I have two versions of it home

The fidgets (didgets) are 2 large and optically noisey. As in compared to the Hamilton PSR Digital Quartz.
The Hamilton cost €845 though.. that's 20 times the price
Although I've never thrown my DW5600 against a fence, I accidentally threw it in the garbage recently. Hunting around to replace it. I have thin wrists, so the square shape never gives me any overhang as opposed to the usual round case.

I just recently became aware of these and had to grab one. I was a 70’s kid and thought digital watches were so cool, but wasn’t allowed to own one. My parents said that people who wore digital watches were too stupid to read a clock and forbade us from wearing one, so when I could finally scratch that itch all these years later without spending a fortune I had to do it.

My nephew is turning 17 soon. He likes my Citizen Promaster. I asked him if he'd ever wear a dive watch and he said he would. I ordered the Casio Duro for his birthday a few days ago. I think it just might be a good introduction for him.
