Love your humor, but I have to say, I owned a C8 for a year and the honeymoon was never over (I had to sell it, moved out of the country). I disagree with some of your points: As to getting in and out, it's a sports car, not an SUV. I do agree about the center console being in the way and too many buttons. Manual transmission, good luck finding ANY car with a manual these days. Including supercars. Exhaust noise, really? You can always get the hybrid with quiet start mode. I never had an issue with blind spots, if you adjust the mirrors correctly. Meaning the image in the driver mirror should start where the image ends on the left side of the rear view mirror. Interior noise, yeah, it's pretty loud. But like you said, big tires plus that big engine. Cell phone charger location, I agree 100%. Gas mileage? It's a 6.2 liter V8 with over 450 HP. I consistently got above 20 MPG and that was with a heavy foot. That's fantastic for the amount of performance you get here. I had a Dodge Challenger that got 13 MPG(!!).

01:55 Not the Vette crying... That earned a sub from me... lmao... Nevertheless, the sound/noise issue is expected w/ any V8... Especially if you had a Mustang or Camaro, then you understand cold starts... The blind spot issue can be resolved by only changing lanes on overtakes. The brake squeaking is normal w/ ceramic brakes (regardless of the car.) So, you just essentially confirmed all the reasons I should trade in my X6M and get a red mist Vert in 2025.

So tired of hearing no manual transmission, would never have bought the car with it. I like the center console works for me. All the other point are just minor complaints. My neighbor likes when I start my C8, doesn't bother him at all. The rest of the video was clever.

A great assesment. An affordable sports car for Americans but it's not a daily. Great for weekends and as a garage queen. I went with Mustang GT Premium for being more practical. No comparison with Vettte as it's a great car but it's NOT for daily driving.

The Corvette is a dream compared to some cars I have owned. Hardest to get out of, Lotus Exige, interior noise, Viper GTS, annoying shifting, Ferrari 512, cost of maintenance, all but my Bentley GT was the worst. Hardest car to service, drive and enjoy with crappiest interior, Aston Martin Vanquish. After all these and more I am marrying Corvette this spring.

I agree with the center console issue. It's high and gaiety, and does restrict the passenger side if they want to use the touch. Simple fix is to incorporate the controls into the info screen like other manufacturers do. I love our C7 layout much better than the C8

A got a chevy bolt ev 2020 l got a boatload of blind spots in this car its dangerous, l didnt have those issues when l had a sedan toyota camry with great visibility all around, l think its related to the car build shape, hatchbacks/vans are tough to see things going around you on the blind spots I think its a thing with gmc/chevrolet l've seen a video where a camaro owner says he cant see jack nothing behind him said bad visibility

The brakes squeak after washing because the rotors have slightly rusted. Using the brakes wears the rust off. Nothing to be concerned about.

Used is always a gamble but a good mechanic and PPI can save a lot of headache and you can get some great savings.

brakes will squeak like that on any cars where the brake rotors are easily open to water AKA the car wash hoses.
