Exactly what I thought. Literally if I didn't know his crimes I'd of been like 😍🥴,guess still kinda feel that way just looking at him but dang his crimes were awful.

I'm guessing his defense team probably had him cleaned up for court appearances lol. On a related note 0:34 is probably where he was initially arrested (i think), and 3:49 when he shaved himself bald in prison. Very different hair.

@@natasazojic8002 he sounds totally insane. It's completely obvious he is suffering severe delusions and schizophrenia. He seems a lot more crazy then the average serial killer in the sense it's obvious he is not basing his actions on any sort of reality others are experiencing in any way. The footage seems to have been scrubbed from the Internet as I have looked for it for quite a few years now. I saw it many years ago the last time I saw it was probably around 2006-7. You can find references to it online, especially the part about him pushing the macaroni and cheese from his pocket and asking Robert ressler to test it for poison. His delusions were quite extreme and interesting, especially the part about his blood turning to powder and "soap dish poisoning"(he explained to the police that everyone has a soap dish, at least they did at the time, and if your soap dish is dry you are fine but if it is wet under your bar of soap you have the poison.. obviously the level of moisture under a bar of soap is based on things like whether it was wet when you put it down or the moisture in the room. It's's pretty crazy when you see pics of him as a teenager he looks so normal. I think taking so much acid triggered his schizophrenia/delusions.

@@natasazojic8002 he looks disheveled and mentally ill. Pretty similar to his photos taken by the police of him once arrested except he looks maybe a bit more clean because he's been in jail for a bit, but still totally insane.

@@natasazojic8002 alot of other people have commented on wanting to find it and it seems pretty hard to get ahold of now. I'm going to check on soulseek as I've found lots of other things on there that seemed to be lost. We'll see...if you type Richard Chase Robert Ressler interview or Richard Chase Macaroni and cheese into Google you will get some information on the interview, I remember it been maybe 10-20 minutes long and yeah it's pretty rambly and incoherent but his delusions are so strange they are almost film like...he thought Nazis were after him because he was Jewish(he wasn't Jewish) and that they could find him because he had a star of David tattooed on his forehead(also no star of David tattoo) also the Nazis were also aliens.

It's pretty strange because Robert Ressler did an interview with him after he was in jail that was 10-20 minutes of absolute insane rambling. You can find a lot of references to the interview on Google(especially the part where he pulls a bunch of Mac and cheese out of his pocket and tries to hand it to Ressler) but no copy of the interview anywhere. It was pretty easy to find in the mid 2000s, last time I saw it was about 2006-07. So there is at least one interview out there with him, it seems to have been totally scrubbed from the Internet though, which is weird because lots of Resslers other interviews can still be found.

I doubt that his psychological state allowed him to express his thoughts coherently to give interviews

@@joshmay7921 the Robert ressler interview with him was passed around in the 2000s quite a bit. People called it the "Mac and cheese interview" because he tried to pass Robert ressler some Mac and cheese from his pocket. Last time I saw it was about 2006-07, it's about 10-20 minutes long and he looks and acts absolutely insane.

@@the_glow I don’t there were much opportunities for journalists to interview Chase like they did with Ramirez, Dahmer, Manson, Kemper, etc. Chase killed himself on death row only a year after his conviction.

@@Qotsarena I could be wrong, but my speculation is that Chase’s defense and whoever else was handling him made sure he kept silent. Another guess is that the mute audio might be the result of poorly preserved footage.
