Plasti Dip 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee Grille and Emblems
1st time using Plasti Dip on my 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee Sterling Edition. Ended up with 6 coats on the grille/emblems and 5 coats on the fog lights. The whole process, cleaning, prep, applying the Plasti dip, waiting 15 minutes between coats and removing it all took about 4 hours! Not sure if I’ll end up using this option long term but it does look great for now!! Let me know what you guys think and if you have any questions let em rip.

Can you do this to the wheels too?
After you spray you has cut all extra before pull out or just pull out after spray .. thanks
Would it come off when you wash your car?
No. Only way it comes off is if you literally peel yourself. Pretty good stuff and easy to use

How has this held up?
2 years later and it looks great on the emblems still. The fog lights and rims need to be redone but totally worth it.
how many cans did you use ?
Only about 2 cans if I remember correctly. I did the rims at a later time and that was about 4 cans.
Off license plate that’s so private personal property and I love it’s so badass I don’t mind it
What plasti dip product did you use?
Walmart brand. Performix Plasti Dip. Matte black.
You’re letting it dry too long and then you’re taking the tape off. You need to put your coats on and literally after your last coat that’s when you take the tape off

How come it doesn’t peel off the letters but only off the paint. Interesting
That’s what’s the pre paint does I believe . You wipe it around the letters
How did you get that bag up behind the grille insert without dropping the bumper?
Open the hood and slipped it down in front of the radiator and also had to pull it down from beneath the car as well. Super easy and only took a few minutes.

This was from Walmart. The brand says Performix Plasti Dip on the can. Matte black finish.

A year later and still no answer
Put a trash bag in front of the radiator just by opening the hood. Also had to get underneath the car and pull it down but one bag covered the whole grille without dropping it out.
