The Scriptures are clear. Jesus told His disciples in numerous places that He was returning in THEIR generation. Are so many now waiting for a THIRD return? Jesus told His disciples on the Mount of Olives that THEY would be killed and hated; THEY would see the Abomination of desolation spoken of by Daniel the Prophet; THEY were not to be deceived; THEY were to recognize the signs of His coming as surely as THEY recognized the coming of summer in the budding of the trees. Jesus told them that ALL THESE THINGS would happen in THEIR generation: "THIS generation will by no means pass away till ALL THESE THINGS take place. That included His coming in power and great glory in the clouds of heaven and the gathering of all of His elect from the four winds. (Matthew 24). WE are NOT the YE! These words were NOT addressed to us. All Scripture is FOR us but it is often not TO us!Jesus told His disciples that THEY would not finish going though the cities of Israel before He came! (Matt. 10;23). He also told THEM that some of THEM would not die until He came (Matt. 16:27, 28). He told Caiaphas, the high priest, and the Sanhedrin that THEY would "see the Son of Man sitting on the right hand of power and COMING ON THE CLOUDS OF HEAVEN" (Matt. 26:64). Jesus promised to return to THEM and receive THEM unto Himself (John 14). THEY were the firstfruits of His coming. The writer of Hebrews wrote these words to those of HIS day: "In a very, very little while He Who is coming WILL COME and will NOT TARRY" (Heb. 25). Much of the Church has misplaced hope--hoping for that which is already a reality! "Hope deferred makes the heart SICK" (Proverbs 13:12). When John was given the Revelation of Jesus Christ, he was shown those things which were in HIS day to SHORTLY take place; the time for fulfillment was THEN near (Rev. 1:1, 3; 22:6, 10). The content of the Book of Revelation reveals Christ's coming in judgment upon that apostate Old Covenant Israel (Matt. 23) and the full establishment of New Covenant Israel--the Church. Jesus said, "Behold, I am coming SOON" (Rev. 22). AND HE DID! PLEASE WATCH >>> th-cam.com/video/jaqaGGRg9Yw/w-d-xo.html
"Inaccurate Eschatology Causes believers to: Wait for a King, who already reigns, Wait for a kingdom, they're already in, Wait to become, what they already are, Wait for power, that they already have, Wait for an Age, that they’re already in, Wait for victory, that has already been won, Wait to do, what they should already be doing." by Nathan Edward Camacho
"How to Read the Bible Hermeneutics is the science or method of interpreting the Bible. When you read your Bible there are some basic rules that you must follow in order to understand it properly. Remember, you have access to the same Bible that theologians and pastors do. They do not have any special insight that you do not have. As a Christian you have the privilege and obligation to go to God's Word for yourself. You would be amazed at how little pastors and theologians really know. 1. The Bible is Literature The Bible is literature. It is the infallible Word of God, but it is also literature. It uses poetic, apocalyptic, symbolic, and literal language. It is imperative to determine the literary genre of each passage in order to understand the true meaning. The Bible cannot be read like a newspaper. 2. The Bible is a Covenantal Book. Remember that the Bible is a covenantal book from Genesis to Revelation. It is not concerned about the physical and literal so much as it is with the spiritual and covenantal. The creation and prophetic portions of scripture are primarily covenantal, not literal. 3. Scripture Interprets Scripture. Compare Scripture with Scripture. This helps us to determine if language is literal or symbolic. For example, we can know that the sun, moon, and stars language in Matthew 24 is symbolic because it is used symbolically in other parts of the Bible. This rule allows the Bible to define itself. 4. Audience Relevance. None of the Bible was written to us. It was written for us, but not to us. For example, when John wrote Revelation, he was writing to seven historical churches that existed at that time. He was not addressing Christians in America in the 21st century. When we read the New Testament epistles we are literally reading somebody else's mail. How did the original audience view that particular book in the Bible? What did it mean to them? We must read the Bible through an Ancient Near East viewpoint, not a modern 21 century Western culture viewpoint. The Bible must be read through a Hebrew (covenantal) mind, rather than a Greek (scientific) mind. 5. Subject Context. What is the subject being discussed in the text? Keep every verse in context. 6. Historical Context. When was the book written? To whom was it written? Why was it written? Under what circumstances? If someone 2,000 years from now got a hold of a newspaper from our time and saw cartoons with elephants and donkeys, they would not understand the true meaning of those cartoons if they tried to take them literally. They would have to understand that the elephant and donkey were symbols for the political parties. Such is the case when we read the Bible. If we try to take the images given in Revelation literally, we completely miss the point. 7. Chapter Divisions There are no chapter divisions in the original manuscripts. Therefore the subject does not necessarily change just because the chapter changes."
"The Millennium The 1,000 year reign of Christ in Revelation 20 is not a literal 1,000 years. The number 1,000 is used throughout Scripture in a symbolic way to denote completeness. Why should we take it literally in the highly symbolic book of Revelation if it is always used symbolically in the rest of the Bible? The Millennium was from A.D. 30 to A.D.70. Leviticus 26:8 (New King James Version) 8 Five of you shall chase a hundred, and a hundred of you shall put ten thousand to flight; your enemies shall fall by the sword before you. Deuteronomy 32:30 (New King James Version) 30 How could one chase a thousand, And two put ten thousand to flight, Unless their Rock had sold them, And the LORD had surrendered them? Deuteronomy 1:11 11 May the LORD God of your fathers make you a thousand times more numerous than you are, and bless you as He has promised you! Deuteronomy 7:9 9 “Therefore know that the LORD your God, He is God, the faithful God who keeps covenant and mercy for a thousand generations with those who love Him and keep His commandments; Job 9:3 (New King James Version) 3 If one wished to contend with Him, He could not answer Him one time out of a thousand. Psalm 50:10 10 For every beast of the forest is Mine, And the cattle on a thousand hills. Psalm 68:17 17 The chariots of God are twenty thousand, Even thousands of thousands; The Lord is among them as in Sinai, in the Holy Place. Psalm 84:10 10 For a day in Your courts is better than a thousand. I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God Than dwell in the tents of wickedness. Psalm 90:4 4 For a thousand years in Your sight Are like yesterday when it is past, And like a watch in the night. Psalm 91:7 (New King James Version) 7 A thousand may fall at your side, And ten thousand at your right hand; But it shall not come near you. Song of Solomon 4:4 (New King James Version) 4 Your neck is like the tower of David, Built for an armory, On which hang a thousand bucklers, All shields of mighty men. Isaiah 7:23 (New King James Version) 23 It shall happen in that day, That wherever there could be a thousand vines Worth a thousand shekels of silver, It will be for briers and thorns. Isaiah 60:22 (New King James Version) 22 A little one shall become a thousand, And a small one a strong nation. I, the LORD, will hasten it in its time.” Daniel 7:10 (New King James Version) 10 A fiery stream issued And came forth from before Him. A thousand thousands ministered to Him; Ten thousand times ten thousand stood before Him. The court was seated, And the books were opened. Amos 5:3 (New King James Version) 3 For thus says the Lord GOD: “ The city that goes out by a thousand Shall have a hundred left, And that which goes out by a hundred Shall have ten left to the house of Israel.”
"The Beast of Revelation was Nero Caesar The following is taken from the book The Beast of Revelation written by hyper-creedalist Ken Gentry. He proves beyond any reasonable doubt that the Beast of Revelation was Nero Caesar. The Beast is not the same as the Antichrist and he is not in our future but in the past. Revelation 13:1-2 1 Then I stood on the sand of the sea. And I saw a beast rising up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and on his horns ten crowns, and on his heads a blasphemous name. 2 Now the beast which I saw was like a leopard, his feet were like the feet of a bear, and his mouth like the mouth of a lion. The dragon gave him his power, his throne, and great authority. FULFILLED IN NERO Nero's character was like a leopard, a lion, and a bear which John compounded in his imagery. 1. Nero castrated a boy named Sporus and married him. 2. He played a game where he was let loose from a cage and he attacked the private parts of men and women bound to stakes. 3. He plotted his own mother's murder. 4. He ordered one of his tutors, Seneca, to commit suicide and he did. 5. He divorced his wife, Octavia, to marry his mistress, Poppaea. Octavia was beheaded upon Poppaea's orders. Poppaea was kicked to death by Nero while she was sick and pregnant. 6. He falsely accused Roman nobles of various crimes in order to confiscate their estates. 7. He blamed Christians for a fire that destroyed much of Rome. 8. He had Christians persecuted. 9. He committed suicide by having a servant stick a sword in his throat. --------- Revelation 13:3 3 And I saw one of his heads as if it had been mortally wounded, and his deadly wound was healed. And all the world marveled and followed the beast. FULFILLED IN NERO Nero was the head of the Beast (Roman Empire) who had the fatal wound. The Beast (Roman Empire) revived after civil wars which occurred after Nero's death. The Roman Empire lived on after Nero's death. ------- Revelation 13:4 4 So they worshiped the dragon who gave authority to the beast; and they worshiped the beast, saying, "Who is like the beast? Who is able to make war with him?"? FULFILLED IN NERO Nero was worshiped. There were statues of Nero that had inscriptions that read "God Almighty" and "Savior." He demanded worship as no other Emperor did. --------- Revelation 13:5-7 5 And he was given a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies, and he was given authority to continue[a] for forty-two months. 6 Then he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme His name, His tabernacle, and those who dwell in heaven. 7 It was granted to him to make war with the saints and to overcome them. And authority was given him over every tribe, tongue, and nation. FULFILLED IN NERO Nero persecuted Christians from late November 64 until his death, June 9, 68. Except for a few days this was a period of 42 months. ---------- Revelation 13:10 10 He who leads into captivity shall go into captivity; he who kills with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints. FULFILLED IN NERO Nero both lived and died by the sword. He persecuted Christians, among others, and he literally died by having a sword stuck in his throat. ---------- Revelation 13:18 18 Here is wisdom. Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man: His number is 666. FULFILLED IN NERO Nero's name in Hebrew equals 666. Some manuscripts have 616 instead of 666. Nero's name transliterated from Latin to Hebrew equals 616. This was probably done to help those less familiar with Hebrew to decipher the name. -------- Revelation 17:9-10 9 Here is the mind which has wisdom: The seven heads are seven mountains on which the woman sits. 10 There are also seven kings. Five have fallen, one is, and the other has not yet come. And when he comes, he must continue a short time. FULFILLED IN NERO The first seven Kings of the Roman Empire were: 1. Julius Caesar 2. Augustus Caesar 3. Tiberious Caesar 4. Gaius Caesar 5. Claudius Caesar "Five have fallen" 6. Nero Caesar "one is" 7. Galba "must remain for a little while" Galba was the King for only seven months."
"The Time and Theme of Revelation At the very beginning of the Book of Revelation we are told explicitly when the prophesies contained in the book were to be fulfilled! The timing of the prophecies is the key to understanding Revelation. 1 The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave Him to show His servants-things which must shortly take place. And He sent and signified it by His angel to His servant John, 2 who bore witness to the word of God, and to the testimony of Jesus Christ, to all things that he saw. 3 Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written in it; for the time is near. (Revelation 1:1-3) John was not writing to Christians living in America in the 21st century. He was writing to seven churches in Asia which have long since disappeared. Revelation cannot be understood apart from this fact. 4 John, to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace to you and peace from Him who is and who was and who is to come, and from the seven Spirits who are before His throne, (Revelation 1:4) The theme to the Book of Revelation was the Second Coming of Jesus against the apostate Jews in A.D. 70. This was prophesied by Jesus in Matt. 10:23, 16:27-28, Ch 24, etc. The phrases “they who pierced Him” and “all the tribes of the land” are two familiar designations for Old Covenant Israel. 7Lo, he doth come with the clouds, and see him shall every eye, even those who did pierce him, and wail because of him shall all the tribes of the land. Yes! Amen! (Revelation 1:7 YLT) John clearly identified himself and the seven churches in Asia Minor as living in the tribulation!!! 9 I, John, both your brother and companion in the tribulation and kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was on the island that is called Patmos for the word of God and for the testimony of Jesus Christ. ( Rev 1:9 NKJV) Jesus said to the church in Thyatira: 25 But hold fast what you have till I come. (Revelation 2:25) Question: Is the church at Thyatira still holding on to what they have? Are they still waiting for Jesus to return? Obviously not. The church at Thyatira is long gone now. So did Jesus fail? Did He deceive that church? Or did He come back in their lifetime as He promised? Jesus said to the church in Sardis: "Behold, I am coming quickly! Hold fast what you have, that no one may take your crown." (Revelation 3:11) Question: Is the church at Sardis still holding on to what they have? Are they still waiting for Jesus to return? Obviously not. The church at Sardis is long gone now. So did Jesus fail? Did He deceive that church? Or did He come back in their lifetime as He promised? The Lord told the seven churches in Asia in the first century He was coming quickly in their time. “Behold, I am coming quickly! Blessed is he who keeps the words of the prophecy of this book.” (Revelation 22:7) 10 And he said to me, “Do not seal the words of the prophecy of this book, for the time is at hand. (Revelation 22:10) Contrast with Daniel 8:26 which reads: 26 “ And the vision of the evenings and mornings Which was told is true; Therefore seal up the vision, For it refers to many days in the future.” There was only about 500 years between Daniel and Revelation. “And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every one according to his work. (Revelation 22:12) He who testifies to these things says, “Surely I am coming quickly.” Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus! (Revelation 22:20)"
