UFLI Lesson 15 Day 2
มุมมอง 38K11 หลายเดือนก่อน
These videos are far from perfect but have provided great reflection for me as I continue through my UFLI journey. I recorded these videos before I was formally trained and as I dive deeper, I see many errors and techniques to improve. As I learn more and know better, I work to do better!

Kayla 🎉is a wonderful 👏 ❤
Still loving your videos and showing them off to my teacher coworkers. I was wondering I know in some of your videos you use a document camera. What kind is it? It shows very clearly in the board.
Thank you for sharing. As a supply teacher, watching a lesson in action was extremely helpful!
I panicked the other day when I couldn’t find your videos. I’m so glad they are back❤🎉
Why is i in ing taught as short here in encoding? It makes a long vowel sound with ng.....
I really appreciate the model! I am a little bit confused about the PA portion. Does UFLI actually break apart the ng and attach the n to the vowel vs the g? Maybe I am just mishearing the modeling teacher but I hear h-un-g, g-un-g, s-w-un-g in the pounding routine as she does it. Is it supposed to be that way?
The /ŋ/ sound is together. It may be hard to differentiate when using connected phonation but the vowel sounds are separated!
Kaitlin where are your Kindergarten lessons for 15 Day and Day 2 ? They are amazing !
I am student teaching right now. I’m new to Ufli, thanks for posting this!
Please I need day 15 lessons!! I saw they were on your TH-cam recently but have been removed again. Would it be possible to have them emailed to me?❤
Kaitlin, your videos are amazing! We were accessing your videos for lesson 15 and 46, but it appears they have been removed. Is there another way to view them? Thank you SO MUCH for sharing your knowledge. You are a rock star of a teacher! :)
I am wondering the same thing. Where did they go? Please Kaitlin may you please put them back on. They were so HELPFUL!!!
Would love to know where you got those white boards! Great lesson, thank you for posting :) Very helpful!
Thank you so much very helpful
This video was super helpful! I am a student teacher learning how to teach UFLI the best way and this certainly helped me understand UFLI so much more.
Could you please, please, please put up lessons 15 day 1 and day 2
I agree with this person. It was very helpful!
where did you buy your hand held white board paddles with the elkonin boxes on them> TIA
Thank you for the lesson. We are using UFLI the virtual blending board is free and makes making words and changing sounds quick! It was a game changer. It under UFLI apps. It allows you to pick the letters you need as well.
I really appreciate your effort. Thank you. I need to learn more about this system to start teaching it in my class. I hope will be recording much more and teach us which center activities do we use in our class if we use them. Than you again, good luck!
Your implementation is great! Such great engagement from the kids..question where is your document camera from?
Thank you for sharing. I have just started using UFLI with students this past month. I use your routine to prepare students and teach the lessons along with the manual. Excellent job! Your students are so engaged and look like they enjoy learning from 7:52 you. Do you have a video showing how you roll out the assessment (progress monitoring)piece? That would be so helpful.

Thanks for all you do! Great job :)
Love this! I love how you teach to a larger group since I have 10 in my UFli group this semester. I ordered the little handheld whiteboards after watching! Question - what kind of document camera do you have?
The little one waiting to get a white board and practicing his sounds. Awesome!
So helpful!! Love how you make it flow so easily!
What a great help this is! I love your speed of the lesson and how you identify problems quickly and address them quickly. I also like you little classroom fun things like “the big fat check” and counting down to start.
Again wanted to say this is a great and very real lesson. Is there somewhere that I could find the daily UFLI Activities from M-F? I would love to blend some of these hands on activities in my kindergarten class. Again, thank you for sharing!
Thank you! The slide decks are available for free on the UFLI Toolbox. You need to manual to teach with the slides. I follow to KG scope and sequence and teach 2 lessons a week (each lesson split over 2 days). For example, M- lesson 1 day 1, T-lesson 1 day 2, W-lesson 2 day 1, Th-lesson 2 day 2, and F- review and assessment (also available in the manual)! It is the single best thing I ever started in my classroom. You will love it! There are also free games, passages, and homework practice available on the toolbox!
So helpful! Thank you!
Hi! I'd love to know where you got your board for the manipulative letters. Thank you!!
I use a magnetic cookie sheet from the dollar tree!
Watching you working with your students was so helpful.
First you are amazing - Lesson 51 is /ng/ and Lesson 52 is /nk/? I'm a little confused because I have been watching you prior to teaching my lessons. Love watching you teach them I am struggling teaching this for sure.
Ahh yes, you are right! I just fixed the title!
I watch and memorize all your lessons! Up here in Canada I’m teaching UFLI to my grade 3’s. They LOVE it and especially all the awesome cues like we earned a ‘big fat check’ 😂 thanks for the great modelling:)
Absolutely love this! Super helpful seeing you teach it all! Do you plan on continuing to record additional lessons? I sure hope so! 👏👏🙏🏽
This is a great video. PLEASE be sure to NOT blend the word back together after segmenting.
Thanks Tina! I think it is ok for students to blend the word back together again when they need it. Students tend to do it naturally. These videos are far from perfect but have provided great reflection for me as I continue through my UFLI journey. I recorded these videos before I was formally trained and as I dive deeper, I see many errors and techniques to improve. As I learn more and know better, I work to do better!
Kind of bad sorry
Thank you for the feedback! Please share your videos. I love learning and improving!
Really like the way you keep them moving and involved with actions and your directions. Thanks for posting!
How do you switch from your document camera to the PowerPoint slides so fast? Also, how are you able to write over the decodable passage? Trying to figure out the tech end of things! Thanks!
This is a Newline board. I use DisplayNote to mirror my laptop to my board. The document camera is also an app/program on my computer. I can quickly toggle between PowerPoint (the slides for the lesson) and my document camera by minimizing PPT and having the document camera open and ready. The Newline allows me to annotate the screen! Hope this helps!
Where did you buy your magnetic letters? What brand?
These are from Amazon. I believe they are JoyNote. I had them already but UFLI actually suggests using magnetic letters that are all one color. This year we use black letters from Really Good Stuff!
This is WONDERFUL! Where did you get the printout for magnetic letters on the cookie sheets?! 😊
Thank you! It is available in the Files section on the UFLI Facebook group!
Thank you for sharing!
You are great!!! I’m using your videos to help myself. This is my first year teaching kindergarten and I feel so overwhelmed using UFLI because it’s taking a while for things to click with them. Pray for me lol
You got this!
Thank you! I am just checking...are you teaching Kindergarten?
Yes!
Love this video! Thank you for sharing. What is that ring tone and where did you get it?
Thank you! It’s a door bell I got off Amazon!
This is my first year teaching UFLI and your videos are SO helpful. THANK YOU!
Thank you so much for the demo.
At the end I heard you say it was time for reading...I was curious if your reading consisted of the decodable texts from UFLI or if you use another curriculum for that?
My district uses Wonders for the comprehension portion of our reading block.
Hello i have started this program this school year could you tell me if you made those slides or did you find them some where. Thank you i love the lesson.
Your videos are incredible and so helpful. I hope you are able to post more!
This was very helpful. I love the paddle whiteboards, what did you use to get the boxes on the back side? Thanks
Thank you! They are tens frames! I got the paddles from Office Depot!
So wonderful ❤
