It’s better than Cloudmonster 2? Is there so much difference?

I found a pair recently and remembered how great this shoe was. There weren't many daily trainer/tempo shoes in 2024 that were better than this shoe. Speed 4 was a totally different shoe. Faster but not better. The shoes that I tested and felt were equally good but in a different way were Adidas SL2, Hoka Mach 6, Asics Noosa Tri 16 and Asics Novablast 4.

All I hear is not grip and holes to get mud stuck in, can we all just be honest with what ON shoes are, they’re fashion shoes that pose as being functional. Just buy a pair, wear with trainers and get some proper runners for actual running.

I just walked the 779km Camino Frances in Timp 4. They were incredibly comfortable, also soaked. I wore them with Merino wool socks. Not a single blister. But, and a big but. They started falling apart after 200km, where I had my first visit to the cobbler, second after 400km and third after 500km whereafter I just crossed my fingers that they would make it to the end. The problem was the thin fabric on the top of the shoe that started disintegrating. I'm not a youngster and I've never had a shoe that fell apart like my Timp 4.

I reside in southern Texas and believe these would be excellent shoes for delivery drivers. Dealing with autumn and spring rain can be troublesome, and these shoes seem like the perfect solution.

On is one of the worse company's out there. I bought a set of the On-Running Water Proof 5 and the sole has gone flat. I can feel all of the rocks and bumps on the road. and when I ask them to fix my shoes under a warranty (4 months of ownership) they told me to kick rocks. The Olympic champion didn't wear "On" shows. Avoid these shows.... the company is trash! This shoe is TRASH!!!!

LOL, he forgets to demonstrate its primary feature. The feature that gives the Flipbelt its name! You are supposed to flip the belt over, so your items are more secure and cannot fall out.

Horrible sole design! I don't understand why manufacturers feel the need to over-complicate things with fancy designs. This shoe has so many little pits and grooves in the sole that it becomes a magnet for pebbles. Before long, you sound like you're walking around on course grit sandpaper.

How is compared to the Cloudeclipse?

Funny watching reviews in hindsight. These were garbage.

Shame about the under padded tongue, despite firmly lacing them up, they tend to loosen, likely due to the fabric stretching. The unpadded tongue causes discomfort, as the laces dig into the top of my foot when tightened. Award winning, comfort ? NO . But sole is super durable and I think Inov-8 need to work on the body of the shoe.

I'd have grabbed a pair if they weren't so pricey 🤷👎👎
