J. S. Bach Capriccio sopra la lontananza del suo fratello dilettissimo BWV 992 harpsichord by Mirko Weiss Recorded in 2002 Another early work by Bach existing only in faulty copies, the idea of a Capriccio in the form of a series of descriptive tableaux was undoubtedly derived from Kuhnau's Biblical Sonatas of 1700. Bach, however, takes a contemporary event as his subject: most likely the depar...

J. S. Bach, Prelude BWV 923 Fugue BWV 951, Edward Smith harpsichord Harpsichord by Mirko Weis Recorded in 2002 The Prelude and Fugue on a Theme of Albinoni dates from Bach's Weimar-Coethen period (1720-30), as do the better-known Chromatic Fantasy and Fugue, the C minor Fantasy and the Prelude and Fugue in A minor BWV 894. Of this group of pieces, only the Fantasy is known in an autograph sourc...
Awesome!!! It inspires me to learn it on modern rock guitar, and other such expressions. YUM.
Great recording. I'd never heard of Edward Smith. Thanks for uploading.

Wonderful! Very stable tempo!
To have seen this live when it was made. Pure art. The masters always leave me speechless.
nooooo you just can't take two things together and stick them together because they are in the same key!!! screw whoever it was who did it first.
3:11 Fugue
Wonderful performance! Are you familiar with the Robert Hill performance of this same piece.
œuvre de jeunesse ? Aurait-on le génie en naissant ? Très bonne qualité du son. Merci
Unaware of this fugue, a longer one, and as always Bach goes beyond. Superb performance and recording!
Assolutamente Meraviglioso, Complimenti vivissimi 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏🌹🌷🌹🌷 Cordiali saluti, Anna

The music is incorrect, isn't it? Or is it implied by what would normally be just a chord for it to be a roll, or a regular note to be a trill? A person without knowing what this piece sounds like bar by bar wouldn't get it even close to the same. It's beautiful. I am missing my piano so I'm playing on my mattress, as I cannot sleep. If it being on an organ implies certain things, I am ignorant to this. I'm hoping someone will enlighten, correct me. Thank you~☆
In short, the notation shows that these are arpeggios.
The score specifies that the chords should be rolled with the word “arpeggio”. It is customary to improvise ornaments like trills in baroque music.
What a great performance!
Hello, I work rush video with your interpretation that I post on intagram (I do not have high visibility). Does it bother you? Of course I mention your credits. th-cam.com/video/d9QXC2GxKSY/w-d-xo.html
Bach's early works are always full of dreadful yet interesting moments tho.
I discovered this piece thanks to the guitar and piano variations in 'Call Me By Your Name' and have been listening to it dozens of times, both in its original and rearranged versions.
me too 😃
geile fuge
..and the name of the Developer is BACH , the Inventor is Albinoni though :D

Mr. Smith - wonderful performance. Jean Rondeau plays this piece in a recent recording as well ... I think her herd your 2002 version ... Thanks!
This wonderful piece has become apart of me. SERIOUSLY. It's all I really want to listen to now days. It's what I go to bed at night to, and what I wake up to in the morning. It's what I hear all day when I can't help but listen to it hundreds of times, or I find myself humming it. It's become such an important piece in my wonderful life. It's all I talk about with my friends anymore. I make my friend heather sit in her car at a restrant after we got done eating and I made her sit there like a dog listening to this video while we were in a Wi-Fi area near the restraunt. I am happy to say that she survived. I love it so much. It's what I want everybody to hear that I know. My friend Heather is telling her friends about it too and It's on my blog too, where I discuss it. I've talked about it to so many people, and I drone on and on about it. I had to stop at my loca music store just so I could play it on a harpsichord mode on a keyboard that actually sounded like a harpsichord. It was sooooooooo wonderful. This piece has become such a serious part of my every day, and every night life. Maybe because it is what savedme from insanity when I was lying in the cold ICU in the hospitallast year and my parents were gone but I lied there and did not feel so alone whenever listened to that piece. The nurses seemed to enjoy that piece as well.
Every time I listen to this piece whether it be at 12:00 noon, or 02:00 in the wee hours, It just makes me feel so happy. I find myself just beyond happy. It gives me such an absolutely wonderful feeling. I've been obsessed with this piece lately. It's my favorite classical piece and It's what's got me feeling really awesome this morning, and fueled by the blessing that happened last night. I went to bed thinking about this piece. I woke up thinking of this piece. This piece is my world right now. I love it beyond any means of description. I mean, this version just gives me the best feeling of utter joy. Tanks of happiness are emptying out into my bloodstream, and they're just pouring throughout my whole entire body. They are gusing throughout every single inch of my body. This piece is a fuel that gets me going like something I can't even begin to describe!x It's made me want my own Harpsichord. That would be so cool. I'd sit down, and I'd play this piece with the full feeling, and with every bit of happiness and spirrit I have in me right now, and I'm in turbo drive right now. I am LIKE THE HUMAN MOTORCYCLE RIGHT NOW! I am the Human motorcycle. I could scream I am so happy right now.
The fifth movement and the sixth movement are also extremely nice.
This piece is so adicting. I cannot tell you how many times I've listened to this absolutely wonderful piece!
6:10 I LOOOOVE THIS PART VBEYOND ANY MEANS OF DESCRIPTION!
I absolutely love this piece. This piece is one piece that I listened to when I was in the ICU in September and October I was on a ventilator and could not speak. I had to undergo a Trach and the pain medication that I was on gave me the weirdest dreams about the Burn Unit and Hubbard Tank which would have caused me to lose my hold on reality and the world around me, but this absolutely wonderful piece was one thing that I listened to during those long nights when I hardly got any sleep and the sleep I did get was not really good sleep! The way you play the first movement makes one feel like they are swinging along. IT IS BEYOND WONDERFUL!!

... Bach pervive, esta es una magnífica muestra; Prelude y Fugue, maravillosas ...
¿Clavicembalo?
wonderful
zarlitoz Es igual, Klavier o clavicembalo.
Saludos y feliz tarde.
Christine Rauwolf ... eres muy gentil. Gracias. Estaré atento a escuchar tu pieza preferida ...
