Thanks Dan!
Irish reels. King George IV set. Dinky Doran.
Maid Behind the Bar. The Wise Maid.
Do you have sheet music available for this? Thanks
Ashley MacIsaac, brought me here.
Excellent your clean playing makes it so much easier to learn playing along with you. Thank you.
👏
Beautifully done. Thank you very much. A great lesson.
Can you give a lesson on how to play Lime hill?
Ashokan Farewell. Cliffs of Mohar. Mug of Brown Ale (wrong name? aka Paddy in the Streets of London).
I don’t know why this was recommended - but you are grrreeat! I’m going to subscribe and then try to play half as well as you.
Thanks Dan. I'll definitely use your video to learn this great set. You play it with great clarity and at slower pace that's perfect for learning the tunes.
The dots I have for tea gardens does not have a repeat on the first half.
You need to flip the fries is my line!
Great feel!
Ouch!
Cool…..what are the titles, please?
What a dork….of course, I meant Cminor. However, Bb and Gm are also good. I’m not so enamoured of F, but that’s one that appears (along with Dm) in Scottish tunes, I’m finding. One that frequently gets omitted, though, is the key of C. However Am shows up more frequently.
As I get older, my dork moments are becoming increasingly frequent !
I get four sharps (E) is the outer limit for Celtic fiddling. They say, though, that Bill Monroe used to demand that his fiddlers be able to function comfortably in FIVE sharps (B)! Never seen a Celtic tune in THAT key.
Nice saw this when I was listening to Stan Rogers music well played.
Hmmm…we’re doing the same tunes as the Beginner Class? Interesting. Watch out those users at Coke don’t nail ya for product endorsement !😂
And great performance
Long live clan macdonald
As usual, I talk WAY too much! Gotta learn to let others say something ! Feel free to tell me to rein it in !
I was expecting a break-neck speed like is so common to see in sessions and modern musicians. Nice to see this precisely the speed it sounds good at, and no more.
Hi Dan Do you have Colonel Thornton recorded on your channel?
Ok. I'm a rookie over here attempting to figure out your ornamentation , because this is the best version I can find!! Please sir . . . may I have the sheet music?? lol
Promo SM 🤣
Anyone know who "wrote" this tune? I'm thinking Glen Graham - but not sure why ... !
Great set of tunes! But anyone not familiar with Scottish dance music should understand that this is a beginner's tempo - if you turn up at a session you'll be in for a nasty surprise!
Nice version of Crowley’s there.
Two big takeaways for me this week: “learn big then make it small”…excellent advice; and the door jam thingy: my right elbow is WAY too active, especially when I’m feeling pushed for tempo. Tried it today and it’s wonderful. Thank you !
Also got Lark in the Morning with Pete Cooper’s bowing. That C section is a killer!
I downloaded Mason’s Apron..just the basic tune, not the variations. Might be something for we intermediates to work on.
beautiful.
Awesome Relieved you didn’t jump up and flash the junk at the end
'Pressed For Time'. Not exactly a beginner tune.
Great set! Looking forward to the start of Intermediate Class!
great playing, but I don't think it sounds quite right on any instrument other than the great highland bagpipes
Melanie’s a fine young player, eh ?
Thanks for putting these up. I have some sets to learn (I can't read music) This is the 3rd tune I've learnt from your videos in the past few weeks. It's Much appreciated!
Hey, there…remember me ? I’ll be returning (with new reading glasses) in January, joining up with your Intermediate Class. Let me know what I need to do about that.
Your good . Just played along with you. Very fun ! Ty 😊
Excellent class…played along and did fine. Thanks !
Were you sight reading the wedding jig? That's crazy
Only ever heard this as a pipe tune. Nice.
A memory going WAY back…probably a good 10 or 15 years !
Great string advice…thanks !
Is Tunepal just for Irish tunes? Would it know Cape Breton ?
Again…one I used to play back in the day.
Thanks…used to play the final tune in the set a long while ago, I seem to recall.
Beautiful
