This is a fabulous song! I remember it well! ❤ Michael reminds me of Beck in this video, I absolutely love JOIES’ voice in this song. Love love love this!
What a great song and the timing couldn't have been better. My best friends wife passed away. I'm going to share this with him and his son. I feel better already. Thanks for creating this and Cheers!
Our 9 and 10 year olds love Dada. We had a blast doing a family band cover of "Here Today, Gone Tomorrow" which was apparently good enough for Dada to share it on their FB page. Hope y'all dig it! th-cam.com/video/_FKT58vMETg/w-d-xo.html
Fantastic song from an album that simply bulges with great material. Dada never hit it big, but they deserved to, with this level of songwriting craft and musical skill. "Here Today, Gone Tomorrow" is probably my favorite track, but there isn't a stiff in the entire LP lineup. Oh, and love the hole in the ceiling, on the video...
Like most fans commenting here, I agree this is a killer debut record, w/o a single bad tune in it. They should have made it big but unfortunately they appeared in 1992, the height of the Grunge era, a time when Classic Rock -based great melodies and great playing, coupled with great vocal harmonies were not 'fashionable' or trendy. I got to see them live many times between 1994 and 1998 at The Bayou in Washington D.C.
Every damn Dada album is chock filled with top shelf tuneage! Michael absolutely shines on guitar with killer riffs and solos spraying out melodic confetti...great drummer and rock solid bass player with a helluva voice! Lyrics are brimming over with wit and wisdom... Dada albums are to be cherished....like green lights, French fries and Trump with laryngitis!
Been listening to Dada since their debut album. It NEVER gets old. LOVE this band. Great guitar work, great harmonies and great lyrics. They certainly haven't had a lot of coverage, because I've turned countless people on to them and they've ALL loved this band .
I go through cycles of listening to music in general, or not. I used to travel a good bit and meet people I knew online; we'd exchange copies of our MP3 collections... so I ended up with a lot of stuff without even knowing I have it. . I came across this song today at random, and instantly fell in love with it. Sadly it's the only Dada I seem to have; I must correct that.
This was a little before my time, but I got this album in the early 2000's when I was about 11 years old, and I wore it out. I loved it so much and always wondered why nobody else my age listened to music (NSYNC and Brittany Spears was big at the time). Used to think I was a weirdo. Turns out I just had much better taste in music than most of my piers. This was my favorite track and I would start singing "I used to hide my Camels in a paper Bag" and my Mom was like What?! lol I thought he just meant the desert animal.
Should have. I couldn’t get into the direction they took after this album, unfortunately. But even one album of this quality is unbelievably extraordinary.
Chicago, February 9, Park West. Friends coming in from Michigan and here in Chicago to see the show. Cannot wait! Last time I saw them was at the bar Joes on Weed Street in Chicago in 2003. Been way to long!!!!
Super-ultra underrated! Effing band were superstars.
Most underated band of my lifetime and I'm a HUGE Emerson Lake and Palmer fan so that says a LOT!!
Thought the picture looked to clear to be Robert Palmers Dada. I had forgotten about these band name stealers
One of my favorite albums of all time from a band that no one has even heard of.
It’s wild isn’t it? I saw them in Portland Oregon at a small club downtown and it was epic
Soooo good. Three man band, always so tight, together. Drummer always kills it too. UNDER RATED. LOVE THEM.
Great great band!!!

fuckin beautiful

Just wanted to hear this song again. Nice...
Me too. It came into my head out of nowhere when I read a headline that said "Here Today, Gone Tomorrow."
Fell in love with their sound on day one. So much music and lyrical genius from these 3 💯💯

Christmas 2020, Covid 19! Still here but could be gone tomorrow. Mask up and get jabbed, do your part! Great tune by the way!!

Always a favorite, love the grooves! Included it on Peggy's Weekly Top 10 Picks!
Amazing song. Soundtrack to living in Lauderdale, getting high, having sex, and writing about road trip killing sprees.

Have to say, that til now. I never listened to any other song from this band of then Dizz Kneeland. Have to say, I LIKE this one as well :)

Same here. Dada is the most unjustly underrated (and arguably greatest) Rock band since 1992. Their debut album 'Puzzle' is a perfect album IMO.
HAPPY NATIONAL SANDWICH DAY!
I said it once I'll say it again. I Met these guys in Providence back in 96'. What a fun night that was.
Wow

Rich-ALL Dada albums are must own! Melodic gems aplenty!
kinda sounds like a Crispin Glover song
?
That moment when your drummer just happens to bear more than a passing resemblance to Jason Newsted...

Iconic!
THIS SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
+Toontowwn Rewritten why are you looking in the mirror much too often??
HI HI HI HI HI
Man what a great debut album that should have made Dada huge!!!
True.
Should have. I couldn’t get into the direction they took after this album, unfortunately. But even one album of this quality is unbelievably extraordinary.
Truth I saw them open for Sting back in 93. Awesome band
That's great, me too.. 30 years ago today at Cynthia Woods Pavillion in The Woodlands, TX. Awesome band!
The old man looks just like Lou Reed. Great song... I wish I was still young.
SAME! This came out when I was young and had my whole future ahead of me.
This song is an accidental homage to The late, great, weird as hell Dr. Hunter Thompson
+bill carr Are you sure it's accidental? :)
This song rocks!
Don't worry about it, cop!
MojoHandle lovde that little bit at the end, the whole last verse, really
My generation is still cool, Event Im older then these kids LOVE IT !!!!!!!!!
I've owned their Puzzle CD since it came out. It still holds up and EVERY song is what they call 'accessible'. Not a bad one in the bunch.
get every Dada album-all killer-no filler!
Same here, agree completely.
I agree, I used to play all the way through and all the songs were enjoyable!
Whenever there's a survey on radio about an album where all the songs are good I always think of "Puzzle"
tought was the Ramones song

get ready for the 2013 reunion tour people!
you're idiotic
Threre's so many things right with this song musically and artistically.
just good "rock music" no genre no category, just good music
JACK WEBB!!
What genius in the way the mixed this song, LOVE IT!
AINT NO JUSTICE IN THE WORLD. OTHERWISE DADA WOULD OF BEN ONE OF MOST POPULAR BANDS OF ALL TIME
Know what's pretty cool? I just watched about 10 youtube vids of Dada, and there wasn't a single dislike on any of them! (-<-) -AL-
