Barry's Maiden of Hangar 9 J3 Cub at Deblois December 15

Barry got out to maiden his Hangar 9 J3 Cub, it wasn't until later he discovered a couple things with the landing gear that explained the strange roll out before flight, and after landing. Still a great maiden.

Wildfox Cabins on Junior Lake Vacation Oct 2024

We had an amazing week at Wildfox Cabins on Junior Lake in Lakeville, ME October 13 - 20, 2024. Chris got to fly his Eflite CZ Cessna 150 on floats, we saw Common Mergansers and Canada Geese feeding in the cove by the dock. Had an eagle fly over us right after Chris had finished a float fly. Can't ask for a more peaceful remote lakeside cabin than what Wildfox Cabins provides. And the fall foli...

During our week long vacation at Wildfox Cabins on Junior Lake, we had the pleasure of watching Common Mergansers and Canada Geese feeding in the cove. Also, Chris got several flights in with his Eflite CZ Cessna 150 on floats.
Angry Ocean at Schoodic Point, Maine September 7, 2024

We had a storm churning off shore so decided to take a ride down to Schoodic Point, part of Acadia National Park. The waves breaking on the rocky shore were breath taking.

Photographs I have taken of my gardens, and what's growing and blooming in my yard and gardens. This starts early June and runs through End of July.... I believe in a healthy biodiverse Ecosystem, so no pesticides of any form are used .... not even "organic". When you let nature take care of itself, there is no need for "pesticides"

Last fall our RC Club KVMA lost a member dear to many of us... a few of the guys received some of his fleet from his daughter. Many had not even been flown. On May 19th at the KVMA Spring Fly In, Ken did the maiden flight of one of Richard's planes. Chris also received one of those planes, and did the maiden on the Eflite P47 Razorback/Thunderbolt. Full flaps and pointed into the wind and she shouldn't ground loop. Beautiful little yellow bird! Reminds me of my Uncle's Civil Air Patrol photos. Great video.
Thank you The Hangar 9 Piper J3 Cub does not have flaps (can program "flaperon") but that wouldn't be scale then. Also - although only slight wind, he is taking off into the wind. There were a couple issues he discovered when he got home after - tail wheel was loose from rudder, and one of main landing gears was out of alignment (toe in/out)

Yes Mike it is pretty close. About a 20 min. drive only because we have to take a loop around to get to this spot. As the crow flies we are very close to the ocean. As you can see we are on the "Bold Coast" or rocky coast of Maine.

Yes we both love the coast, and this is a piece of Acadia National Park that is separate, and less traffic.. great place to watch the surf when a storm has been kicking it up.
