Lline 6 Helix | ALL THE AMPS!
มุมมอง 7K5 ปีที่แล้ว
In this video, we go through all of the amps in the Line 6 Helix family. The software is on version 2.71. All the sound bytes were recording through hx stomp directly into a Focusrite Clarett 4 Pro. Reverb from the HX Stomp was added to add a little bit of color to it. Other than that, no post processing was done on any of the signal. And all of the amps were played through the stock setting. k...

    You have to go down to the code of the patch to edit the effect chain???! They really don't have any way to natively add and remove effect chain?!?!

    Great video! I’ve soldered the current doubler cables myself but some noise can be heard that’s in sync with the tap tempo LED lights. It disappears when I replace with power supply with the original one. What could the problem be? 😢

    Quick question.....just bought a POD GO, delivered this past SAT. Bought this Hislop bundle. What is the DIFF between the Bloom and the Cloud.

  • @larrycavallucci3258

    I bought this bundle. BUT watching/listening to your YT Vid, I had to keep my hand on my interface VOL knob, as your Gtr vol was so much louder than your mic VOL, so I'd suggest on future vids, that you move your mic closer to you. Thanks.

  • @agnosandre
    @agnosandre 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    For anyone wandering, a powersupply with 3A ( as the one that comes for HX) does not supply 3A all the time! That is the max value it can provide. The instant current depends on how much processing the hx stomp is doing. Usually varies between 800ma and 1A. Some PS with double 400ma are struggling, others are not. But 1A should be fine to power it at any situation.

  • @agnosandre
    @agnosandre 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Did you test the hx stomp using many blocks with an amp sim block and the hx loop? Does it hold up? The more processing hx needs the more current it draws.

    • @helixforworship
      @helixforworship 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The blocks are patch based. So each patch will start with the wah in it and removing it from one will only remove it from that patch!

    Interesting to see the data in the text editor. This data is written as simple JSON (Javascript Object Notation), a very common format used throughout the modern programming. As a software developer working with such data on a daily basis, I would expect that this should not be affected by firmware updates, nor should it damage your POD Go. If you're not confident of making the change, I'd recommend the following: 1) Export the patch to your folder and immediately make a copy, and change the name of the copy to 'New Preset MASTER..pgp'. 2) Make a copy of the file you just renamed and call that 'New Preset EDIT.pgp'. 3) You now have 3 files all with the same content, I'll explain why this is a good idea in a moment. 4) Now make the changes as described in the video to 'New Preset EDIT.pgp'. 5) Carry out the import from 'New Preset EDIT.pgp'. The name of the file is not relevant as the name of the preset is defined in the data. 6) if there is a problem with the edit you made you can re import from 'New Preset MASTER..pgp'. 7) Delete the originally exported file, you no longer need this. 8) If the import works fine, you no longer need to export in this process. Delete 'New Preset MASTER.pgp' and rename the 'New Preset EDIT.pgp' file to something that tells you its your preset with changes (say, 'New Preset Extra Block.pgp'). 9) Just import the file you just renamed any time you want to override the default patch. Any issues just import from the 'MASTER'. Now every time you need such a preset you can simply import you new file and away you go. The only issue that might occur is that the preset 'may' become invalidated and throw an error if the future firmware performed a check to make sure all expected 'blocks' had an appropriate node. However, I'd also expect that Line 6 are extremely careful not to introduce operating system procedures that might cause issues with existing settings like these. Backwards compatibility is crucial in such processes. In this respect I'd say this is a very low risk approach. Its not likely to damage your unit at all. I'd recommend exporting/backing up your presets before performing a firmware update just in case. Thank you for posting.

      Thanks much for that. Paranoid (perhaps) question if I may. If things go completely wrong (unlikely as heck I know, yet), wouldn’t a simple factory reset get things back to okay ?

    • @petergoddard1960
      @petergoddard1960 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@accentontheoff I would doubt a full reset would be necessary, that’s why you keep a copy of the non edited patch. Just restore that. The JSON definition can’t break anything, the worst that could happen is the patch would not work.
