Hi, I started to play as the same time as you, I recommend you to make the storage scanner from rftools, it’s really cheap and it’s and early game storage, you can make a tablet and link it, and force load the chunks with ftbchunks and have an infinite range cross dimensional storage
you can use obsidian (software not the block) for diagrams
nodes are not a thing in the version of thuamcraft you are playing hopes this info helps you
For armor you *could* do botania for terrasteel
u have episode 11 in title when its ep 12 btw
Whoops, fixed it.
I hate the essentia tubes, they are horrible, wasteful and complicated. The easier solution is to use Essentia Transfusers; they wirelessly transfer essentia. The Filling Essentia Transfuser is placed on the alembic to send essentia to the jars, an Emptying Essentia Transfuser is placed onto the Thaumatorium to pull essentia from jars. Also you can have more Alembics on your Essentia Smelter as well as Auxillary Venting Ports to reduce the flux escaping.
I'm guessing the transfusers are under the advanced transport tab, and if they're wireless then that's beyond game-changing. I'm absolutely making that next time I craft anything. Thanks for the tip.
For the Workbench Charger, you need to research the Vis Resonator, in the Auromancy Tab, because the charger needs one to craft it normally. Hope this helps.
So the deal with vis is..... its kinda dumb just get the workbench charger cause it lets you get the vis from like a dozen of nearby chunks and lets you leverage the passive recharging of all of them
also i super recomend getting the advance essentia transportation because it just lets you do wireless transportation which is a life saver
So not much I can really do then, just do auromancy for the charger and hope for the best. But I'm absolutely getting the advanced transportation, wireless is more than a life saver with how finnicky the tubes are. Thanks for the tips.
And u can throw quartz slivers I think is the name into the cauldron to remove those extra elements
if you turly love thaumcraft in 1.12 try out divine journey 2, as a bonus mekanism generators a of the list. also ther is blood magic und evilcraft, and also a lot of tech mods. it is one of the bigest expert modpacks in 1.12 outside of grechtech, the questbook is also better then in enigmatica. in can only recomend it, if your locking for something difrent in 1.12
I had considered divine journey instead of this series, but decided against it because it looked to be too long. It's still on the list to do at some point, but for this series I wanted something a bit shorter.
Loving the series, E2E is my favourite modpack. It would be worth checking out "Enigmatica 2 Expert Unofficial". It's the original E2E but with several performance improvements, updated mod forks and other minor tweaks. There is also a converter for E2E saves so you don't have to restart. I've used it on my last couple of runs through E2E and it's a big improvement - same modpack but with improvements.
every time thaumcraft shows up its a chore for completing quests
If you want to go a different way to produce power beside the basic mekanism/thermal/enderio etc way you could have a look at Advanced Generators. It features it's own Fuel with Syngas but can run with many different Fuels from different mods like Mekanism Ethylene or Biogas from Thermal (or was it Industrial Foregoing). The Tooltip of the Gas Turbine tells you the possible Fuel Sources
idk if you know about this or if this is even still true but on my playthrough of this pack thaumcraft was very broken and it locked progression for me, hopefully its been fixed and the same doesnt happen to you :)
I might not have made it there yet, but just based on the questbook and the JEI, Thaumcraft doesn't seem to lock anything. It might've been changed because Thaumcraft processes like alchemy / infusion are notoriously difficult for other mods to work with (which I'm guessing caused the problem in your playthrough)
yay :) the shoutout and thaumcraft finally being started makes me feel happy :))))
Thaumcraft and Mystcraft. Both of those are sorely missed.
If you want a modern Thaumcraft-like mod, there is a new one called Etherology, I don't think there are modpacks for it yet tho. Also, Team CoFH is working on a modern Thaumcraft version (Official permission from the original author), so look forward to it! Edit: typos
I can check out Etheorlogy, but if there isn't a pack for it I might not make a video on it. But I'm super hype for modern Thaumcraft, I'm absolutely doing something for that when it comes out.
@@Thaumiumking9 You could always shoe-horn it into something like DW20's pack.

Hey ur discord link on ur post doesn't work anymore is there an alternative?
It could only work for 7 days, so I'll just make a new one: discord.gg/5Zsb4zqU
Yt randomly showed me your video love content bro keep it up
invest in a yeta wrench, it allows for conduits to be next to eachother and is able to configure them in more effecient ways. Also please get a slime sling, its literally the sword that you use but way better and its super fun to play with. And congrats on finally making the generator work, its about time the series moved on
enderio tanks have inventory so you can automate fluid to bucket using them
Finally, the power prodcution is done
Make a buffer drawer for delightful meal in between
I have already, I did it on my own so I could backfill it ready for next time.
it might be time to expand the base👍 feels cramped with all the production lines, and there would need to be more also more farmland for individual crop harvester automation
The plan was one building per power source / mod. So whatever I do next will require a new building or 2. I also have plans to mirror some things on the other side of the river, so I'll probably get more farmland along the way.
if you want the generator to be faster you can look into makeing the 8 or 16 x generator it is the same generator just 8 or 16 of them in a block. allso maybe you should insultate your wires with some hemp so they stop hurting you when you hit them.
I didn't know about the condensed generators, I'll look into that for next time. I'm not sure if I produce enough food to run 8 at a time, but I might expand at some point anyway. Thanks for the tip.
@@Thaumiumking9 I just want to say that I forgot that that the 8 and 16 times generator was removed in this version of extra utilities, but you can still do speed upgrade on the generator and I tink that will be close to running 8 generator at same time
I think you should get a mekanism ethylene setup for power
I *think* he said that he doesn't want to do this so he can explore other sources of power
I use a lot of Notepad++ for playing Minecraft; I find it very useful and not that hard at all. Love your ingenuity in finding alternative solutions, really like the setup though I honestly wish you'd give your self more height so you could place blocks closer together (and walk above them instead of between them). Using channels on the conduits would definitely help, there's no need for a lot of separate line I believe. You are proabaly right with the idea of using multiple smaller farms, a harvester could fill up on tomatoes and make you run out of soy for example. Oh, and I would use item frames or - even better, if it's in the pack - the Draconic Evolution "place" option to place the items being crafted on top of the crafters; it'll be a nice visual.
I almost always have a notepad file when I record, and it's massively helpful for things like this, but this is the first time I've tried doing diagrams and it's not at all made for that. As for the production lines, I find that using channels makes it a lot harder for me to internalize the system, and I only really use them for condensing / optimising machines when I don't have to worry about item logistics. The item visuals is a great idea as well. I briefly considered item frames, but decided they're too expensive this early in the game, but the draconic placing would look excellent, I'll look into it for next time and see how it goes.
Do you have access to storage drawers yet/at all in this mod? If you do, it might be a good idea to have your harvesters put their resources into a void upgraded storage drawer network and then extract from the drawers into the production line, to make sure overflows of one resource don't clog the system.
If you want redstone control you might have to do some more complex wiring to check how full each drawer is, and possibly reduce how many resources each harvester is harvesting. The system as is could definitely stall out if you overproduce one crop, fill up the harvester, and turn it off automatically, because that could stop it from making any more of another crop that's needed to start consuming the overproduced crop again.
I was aware of the overfilling problem (that's why I proposed multiple plots), and void draws could fix the problem, but without re-engineering the farm it would drain too much power to run the harvesters that much. This system I can at least fix manually if / when it goes wrong, but I agree that something should be done on that front if I want to expand this system at all.
The culinary generator is bad. It does generate a lot of power form the food, but the transfer rate is atrocious (92 RF/t in the delighted meal) Edit: You should probably learn LaTeX for those diagrams
With the 4 speed upgrades it ends up just shy of 400RF/t, and I can pretty easily scale it up to an 8x generator to get ~3000RF/t. But I never went into this expecting it to be good, and I'm probably gonna replace it in a couple episodes when I get to thermal anyway. I just like experimenting with these "bad" solutions because it forces me to solve more problems that I've never faced before, and to me that's a lot more fun.
Last I checked, the ender IO conduits can insert and extract through the same connection, and on different channels/colors, which would probably help make the spaghetti less spaghetti.
Yeah, and since the crafters all seem to auto-filter, you should be able to dump a ton of different resources through a single network of conduits.
I know about the different channels, but for projects like this I personally don't like to use them. I find it makes it a lot harder for me to internalize the logistics involved, and I only really use channels when I'm optimizing the system after the fact. And in systems like this inserting and extracting from the same conduit doesn't really help much until they get really condensed.
you don't need pipes for the infinite water sources. they auto export
I think lamp post / power poles could be a cool way to power the farms, just simple lights with wires connecting them?
cyclic plant harvester soft harvests it can also be set to either 1 plant at a time or all in range (at max range it can do a 15x15)
I've already set them all to area harvesting, partly for the consistency, but also because the plants grow quicker than single mode can handle.
20:35 If i remember correctly you don't need advanced filter you can just put multiple filter into one and it should work
I've never seen or used the Tinkers alloy tank, it seems very neat - I do wonder how much lava it consumes. Cyclic is an amazing and overpowered mod, I love it! FYI the IF sower separate the area in 9 separate fields that can have their own seed configured. You could use some nice slabs for landscaping around the fields. If the pack has drawers, they make an amazing cheap filter option. Pipe everything into the controller and then extract sugarcane from its drawer, wheat from its drawer, etc. Mekanism has a logistical sorter but it's a nightmare - I hate it and I will only use it as a last resort. It's a shame this isn't working for powergen, I hope you keep it up for your food supply still - it's a nice setup and it was fun trying, we all learned something from it as well.
The alloy tank uses lava at about the same rate as a smeltery, I think like 1mb lava per 100mb alloy, so it's relatively cheap in an assembly line like that. I didn't know that about the sower, I've only used them previously for a single crop type at a time, but the cyclic harvester is still more useful in the more compact farms that I have now. Drawers as a filter is a really clever idea. It's not very space efficient, but it'd have built in item buffers and be extremely configurable (and it's a lot better than logistical sorters, I hate them too). And even though I've given up on making smores for power, I still have some ideas to use the food supply, and maybe get the culinary generator to work. I'll see next time.
The best way for you on this stage is Gas burning generator from mekanism, much simplier and can generate up tu 50k rf/t.
gas burner has been hit with the nerf bat in this pack think it produces about 5k rt/t
Logistical transporter can filter things in mechanism
Its sad to that all of that lead to nowhere, dam :/
I've been thinking of ideas to salvage it, and I might have figured something out. You'll see next time
@@Thaumiumking9 Looking forward to!
it might equilize the power consumption once fully automated random fish can be turned into regular fish in crafting try using cycliic autocrafter to automate it nuclearcraft is a great source of power but i would still like to see you finish the smores👍
The total cost to make a smore in the NC machines alone is about 3 times what it produces. But just because the smore dream is dead, doesn't mean the culinary is dead. I still have ideas to try next time.
15:59 -> You have IE power poles.
If you want a ton of charcoal that sacred oak you got earlier grows to a massive tree and industrial foregoing can cut it all the way down and get more saplings
Just be sure to plant it away from your base.
@ yea forgot to state that cause it is extremely massive like it goes higher than slime islands
LETS GO IM FIRST, also btw another great video.
How do i get that type of health and hunger bar? Is it a texture pack? If so, please provide the name.
I don't know, it was part of the pack automatically.
i love your culinary generator challenge👍here are some tips for early food automation harvester + autocrafter (from cyclic mod, alot of usefull stuff there) seared heater for the tinkers smeltery (to save on energy by burning crops for heat), you can pipe anything in and out redstone logic + wooden hoppers (for smart transporting rly cheap)
since you already got into nc, i guess you could make the reactor, energy upgrades only work when there are speed upgrades inserted (1 energy upgrade only work with 1 speed upgrade etc.) Also since you probably will work on power next episode, sieves are a way to make infinite stuff, highly recommend automating ore proccesing with mekanism (ic2 if you are feeling spicy)
Not sure of u heard but star tech was updated! There's only string meshes, the kinetic input port removed and a new chapter leading into the ancient stargate!
Idk if the crafts are locked or not but you can try and do mekanism ethylane (ethylene?) Production, get like 10 garden cloches with potatos and turn then into biofuel and mix it oxygen and you have huge ammounts of power
You can automate the delighted meals with alot of analogue crafter which don't use power. Might be better automating them instead
That's probably better, but I never expected this to be a good / permanent solution, so I wanted to have some fun with it. If I can't get the s'more assembly to work then I'll switch to the analogue crafters / delighted meals.
congrats for 2000 subscriber brooo
