    Why people "treat" their opioid withdrawal with different opioid ... its like trying to put out fire with fire .... if society would educate people with basic knowledge on WHY particular drug produces the effect that they do, they would just use one big dose of NMDA antagonist (dissociatives) at the peak of opioid or stimulant withdrawal and wothdrawals would dissepear like a mirracle. For example cca 300-500mg pf dextrometrophane available over the counter. It reverses tolerance to opioids as well as to stimulant working as a D1and D2 receptor agonists . That is the actuall treating by deffinition. But i am sore pharma would not like this from their financial standpoint.

    You can’t make buprenorphine over the counter it’s a partial agonist and serious medication. People would abuse it even though it’s supposed to block effects of opioid use disorder.

    I couldn't get through the withdrawals without using CBD or gabapentin and phenibut. Also I couldn't bear swallowing it anymore because it did nothing but cause unbearable nausea, constipation and metabolism issues, once I started just holding it under my tongue and spitting it out, it was a million times easier to deal with as it eliminated those side effects. Also macrodosing is unnecessary as long as you have the other meds in fact its probably torture to force yourself to take a huge dose just to immediately get off fentanyl, it will end up making you feel like your dying because it will overtake the receptor and leave you in immediate withdrawal from the amount of opiates that are built up in your body. The best thing is to take as little as possible up until the point where you are in full blown withdrawal typicaly on day 2-3 and thats when you would wanna take the highest dose but you don't want to take anymore equipotent to the dose of fentanyl you are taking

    If countries would just allow the dried poppy pods into the country for grinding a making tea there would be no reason for all these crazy powerful drugs. Illegalize Ecstasy and you get 30 more mutated dangerous legal compounds, it's stupid. Just let people have edible basic drugs, don't force them to dangerous insane crap or into injecting junk.

    I once bought tianeptine sulphate from a nootropic store and the effects at 10-20mg 2-4 times a day were really great, like a perfect saturday morning waking up refreshed with sunlight coming through the window, just a clean happy feeling without any side effects or dirty aspects.

    Kratom is $6 /30 g. locally, which is @ 5 doses (to produce euphoria). That is a fraction of more common opiate-like (oxycontin, heroin, etc.) options. It was very surprising to hear it described as "more expensive" than traditional alternatives...

    I’m sorry but if you take Buprenorphine you are screwed if say you break Femur or another bone. That’s why I will not take it. It’s half life is over 3 days. There’s No kicking Buprenorphine off the receptor. It’s not going anywhere. I can’t stand it. It’s the only opiate I hate taking….lol

  • @Scorcher-ii1ty

    Again these Drs are so misinformed. Kratom is more expensive then heroin???? Lol. No it’s not. I get a kilo for like 100 dollars…in everything these Drs do not know what they are talking about. I’ve never had a problem with Kratom. He works in anesthesia…..oh lord. How can you have with drawl if you can go right up the street and buy it. Yes the red vein is more relaxing. I think this Dr of anesthesia might be dipping into Demerol or something not Kratom. Yes you will be more talkative on Kratom yea you will.

    Using Gabapentin would be a disaster. That is the most useless medication. I couldn’t wait, prayed to God that it would leave my system asap. Librium would be a better choice over Ativan. There are contracts you can come up with. We will give you some Librium . Keep drinking and no more. 10 mgs of Ativan at once??? Clonodine is good. Klonopin or Librium should be for long term but if he drinks. I would NEVER take gabapentin it’s a horrible drug. Slurred speech, memory problems.

    Great work, thanks for sharing. But please remove the three double bonds in the upper middle ring of your morphine structure (at 00:10:37). Even Dihydroethorphine would not cure the headache I suffer looking at those 5-bonded carbons building an anti-aromatic ring system.

  • @CarsonKendall

    45:46. As someone who's has a history with everything you just mentioned, I can tell you kratom is much cheaper, not more expensive then those other substances. A heroin user can spend $100-$150 bucks a day once it get's really bad.. That king of money would buy you weeks worth of kratom. Obviously all depending on tolerance, but no one who's used these things would agree that kratom is more expensive than those other drugs. Maybe this videos just super old now and prices have changed, but today you can buy it super cheap. Not that you should though!! its terrible and horrible and missrable to get off. don't do it. just... no.

    I've been on a 6th of suboxone cut in half and taken twice a day once in the afternoon at 12pm and once again at 830pm to 10pm for the last 13 years and have stuck to it without skipping a day once or using opioids at all. This has saved my life from the hell of opioid abuse I was in before 13 years ago.

    So why do we not have topical ibuprofen - it's active ingredient is an established OTC medication, it's advantageous for consumers to have an effective form of ibuprofen with less systemic exposure to NSAID, but I've never seen OTC topical ibuprofen in America

    How do doctors treat fentanyl addiction, wouldn't buprenorphine create induced withdrawals especially if there is a depot of lipid -bound fentanyl? Would methadone be of use being a full agonist ? And if SO, do doctors then run into a problem of methadone under availability?

  • @90klh
    @90klh ปีที่แล้ว

    Synthetic cannabinoid withdrawal is sooo much worse than regular THC withdrawal because a) the synthetic cannabinoids are full agonists, vs partial agonist THC and b) they're much less lipophilic with shorter half lives The withdrawal from k2 and the like tends to be more physical in nature as well as all the phycological effects you see in natural THC withdrawal

    For case #1, I was left wondering why none of the medical doctors recommended a light, daily exercise regimen, such as walking once or twice a day, for 15 to 30 minutes, and/or doing a circuit of light weight resistance machines at the gym for 15 to 30 minutes, 2 or 3 days a week? The efficacy of exercise is very underrated, not only for the general population, but especially for addicts and alcoholics. And then there is the issue of proper diet and core vitamin supplementation: vitamin C, calcium/magnesium/zinc, vitamin D3, etc. - vitamins backed by double-blind, placebo-controlled RCTs, which demonstrate efficacy.
