Very noisy, spent 3yrs at Hahn with them, my dorm was 200 yards from the hanger.
Did they use the HAS sites as well? I'm assuming yes.

Super boulot, j'adore! 👍 Je suis seulement né en 1996....intéressant de voir ces belles vidéos de 1997, parce qu'aujourd'hui je suis souvent à Ramstein pour planespotting et les temps ont bien changés depuis. J'aurai bien aimer vivre les années 90 maintenant, rien que pour entendre le beau bruit des anciens réacteurs des Galaxy C-5A/B...ou même des transall...

Mirage F1, quelle histoire d'amour en ce qui me concerne... J'ai habité durant les années soixante-dix dans l'axe de la base B124 de Strasbourg -Entzheim, fief de la reco... Après les mirages 3 RD, les T33 , les Maurane- Saulnier 310 Paris, les Broussard et autres oiseaux et bien l'arrivé du mirage F1CR m'a mis dans tous mes états, quel bonheur de voir voler ce bel aéronef... Ce n'est pas Marcel Dassault qui disait qu'un bel avion ne peut que bien voler...👍👍
La ba 124 manque a beaucoup de monde aujourd'hui...que de beaux oiseaux dans ce ciel alsacien !

Hey been there many times Tdy from Spangdahlem for Tactical Leadership Program (TLP ).
The Good old days.... I was at Spang from 92-98 and 02-06. Both tours in the 23AMU. I was there when they had F-4's, F-15's, A-10's, Block 30, Block 50, & Block 50's mini D's Vipers. 23 Rule Fighting Hawks.

Thank you for uploading these nice impressions . I always loved to see the tails of the F-15 with the "BT" on it, when i drove with my parents on the public road near the airbase.
Cette année c'est décidé, je vais y aller car j'ai trop longtemps repoussé cette visite. J'ai connu la plupart de ces avions lors de ma formation technique à Rochefort et j'aimerais les revoir. Amitiés Gérald, en souvenir de notre rencontre.
Visité avec un bénévole issu de l'AA , un peu juste sur la partie embarquée , mais comme c'est un bénévole qui n'a pas eu cette chance d'être aéro , on lui pardonne .
Le jour de la visite ce fut tout le contraire !;)

Bitburg was never an AFB. It was an AB.

I was stationed there 83-85. POL. I drove R9s and worked the hot pits. Hope to see my old stomping grounds late Sept when my wife and I visit my son and his wife in Spang!
Spangdahlem is an AB, not an AFB (the U.S. would have to own it for it to be an AFB). Flew the F-4E in the 480th TFS from Jan 82-Jan 86.

This had to have been when Spangdahlems runway was being resurfaced because Bitburg closed shortly after we arrived at Spang in 93. I don't remember the F-16's flying off of Bitburgs runway during the resurfacing project. The F-16's flew off of the parallel taxiway because we had to install Mobile Aircraft Arresting Systems (MAAS) on the parallel. We also had to install two MAAS on Bitburgs runway but I only remember the F-15's flying out of there.
