I used to have a Wizard album "head of the deceiver", I remember liking it....back in the early 2000's Sacred Steel was one of my favorite bands, but you're right they really went downhill, at least for me after the 4th album, Wargods of metal was incredible....marshall law was killer, I've only ever heard the 80's albums....I have the first Warrior record, it's in the same vein but still different....Memento Mori was awesome, I wish I could get them on vinyl!...Mercy, very cool! I've always wanted to hear them, just never got around to it...I've been into the obsessed for years, I also saw them back in 2019....love that Penance album, been looking for a vinyl re-issue....I was heavy into Grip Inc in the 90's, I even remember hearing the news when the singer died....The almighty I know OF but I've never heard them....great list George!

Great collection man. I love these singles artwork a little better than the full albums. Splitting hairs of course cause it's all awesome.

I have always heard about Wizard but never listened to their music. Love Sacred Steel, the albums you showed are really great, I hope they record a new album soon!!!! Nice list, you showed some bands I need to check out!!!

Very informative video. I think I have ne of those Wizard albums. I have an absolutely fantastic CD by a band called Marshall Law, but I don't kbow if it's the same band as the one you showed though. That first Memento Mori is excellent! I think some of the guys from Hexenhaus were also in Memento Mori. Mercy! I love "I'm Your Pervert Priest" :D I have one Penance alvum on cassette. Really good stuff.

Wizard are great i need 2 get the cds again as i purged them decades ago ,Sacred steel are great 2.

Some cool not so much talked about bands. Remember the song from Rhymes Of Lunacy called Little Anne's Not An Engel. Heard that on a nationwide radiostation in Denmark. Really loving that Grip Inc Power Of Innerstrength. Special the songs Hostage To Heaven(some very massive drumplaying there),Guilty Of Innocence, Longest Hate. But a timeless record. Also have Solidify.

I’m so glad you use ‘under-appreciated’ rather than ‘underrated’. I have some strong feelings on that term as it implies there’s a universally agreed-upon measure of an album or artist's worth-which doesn’t really exist-and for whatever reason, this is falling short. To claim something is "underrated," there has to be a baseline or threshold for what "rated" means-and that threshold is rarely, if ever, clearly defined. Are we measuring by popularity, critical acclaim, cultural impact, or something else entirely? Each of these criteria can vary wildly depending on the context, making "underrated" an inherently nebulous and subjective term. Moreover, it diminishes the importance of personal preference. Music is inherently subjective; an album may not resonate with a wide audience, but that doesn’t mean it lacks value or is any less worthy. Calling something 'underrated' can suggest that its worth depends on mainstream validation or popularity, which isn’t always a fair or meaningful assessment. Oof! Sorry, that was very long. Sacred Steel!!!! Hell yes, I absolutely forgot about them. Warrior is killer, I have one of there cassette I believe but I have not listened to it in a long time. Several here I will need to look up, such a great video George.

Outside of Grip Inc. & The Obsessed, all those bands you showed are all new to me. Neat video of underappreciated bands, George.

I enjoyed the video and i have that kiss dynasty poster as well i found dynasty on vinyl i was so happy it came with everything poster like i said and an order form i was so shocked and excited at the same time

Hi George!!! Well done and big task doing or trying to do it..... but cool to see we agree on Maiden's "Wasted Years" and hard to believe the last studio album Ratt did was in 2010!!! Nice surprise seeing that Queen tune, it's a very good deep track. cheers and be well

What an awesome video, I dig several of the same songs that you do. I especially like that Savatage Handful of Rain album, I have not listen to that in a while. That overkill is another album I have not listened to in a while. So many great songs you mentioned of each of these albums. Great response video George!!

Impressive. Most impressive. I can barely pick a favorite song by my favorite band let alone a favortie song per yesr :D I like that Quuen song too. Did you hear Ultimatum's cover version version of "Motopsycho"? It's really good.

HammerHeart inspired me to do this too! I ended up making four of them because some years were just difficult to pick just one. Haha! My wife is like “what are you doing in that notebook all day?” Spent like a full two days off just thinking of favorites. Just love music. You have a great list George! Monster Magnet?!! Negasonic Teenage Warhead is freaking awesome! I had no idea that you liked them! If I were still making videos I would have enjoyed this thread. I’m pretty sure that there would have been some 70s Rainbow, Man On a Silver Mountain, Stargazer, Kill the King….

Cool finds and additions to the collection..... and thanks for the heads up on the 25th "Stay Hungry" pressing, that's one i still need to get but right now i don't know if i want an old pressing or the 40th anniversary edition. Heard good things about that last Jack Russell studio album, the closest thing to old GW. I will have to give that Vader a try, that's the kind of death metal i enjoy too. cheers and be well

That’s a great Vader album, glad you like it. Their third album Black To The Blind will be reissued by Nuclear Blast in the next of couple months, as well as new EP.
