Don't accidentally hold R during the backflip or this will fail. Darn megaflip muscle memory. Also extra troubleshooting: if both bombs aren't visually in the same spot you're off on the bomb drop timing and the clip will fail
do a sidehop at the end of the hovering instead of another twisted backflip. also starting the hover off with a forward hold twisted is nicer then ess shuffle imo. but both are the same so its preference
From map room left wall: sidehop to railing retarget neutral roll Sidehop left Sideroll, release inputs, then as roll ends, hold z and tap up Release stick as climb starts, (angle will snap when climb ends) release Z when angle snaps 1 ESS right, 180 turn Crouch stab with Upright hammer angle (start from up to top right gate, move slightly past, then back into notch), hold down for most of hoverboots, then bottom right last second

I'm guessing this is for when you don't have bombs. Maybe for a randomizer or speedrun route that won't have them. You can bombchu hover over the fence but that requires two chus instead of just the one that is shown in this video.
Funnily enough, if I got this correctly, the title is actually correct. As it *isn't* refering to the action of stealing Epona. But referring to a trick that is called "steal Epona". Though that could be _more_ clear if the title had those quotation marks in place. And of course, using "to" instead would also be correct.
Im pretty sure that this is a test rom, since his bombs dont go down when he uses them. But there are ways to get here as an adult with specific movements and tricks when you go to the zora fountain because nintendo didnt completly remove the enterance, but left a small piece of it in the ice where jabu-jabu's mouth was. You can esentialy clip into the loading zone.
so normally link cant grab ledges out of a jump slash, however dieing during a js immediately ends said js. so we get the height boost via a js then die this retains our momentum which then carriers into a ledge climb. the game still lets link ledge grab while dead which is odd but this game be wack lmao. if u want to see more useful death ledge grabs i recommend looking at child only stuff specifically fire temple as child has 2 death ledge grabs.
