    Wrap wet towels around it, wrap around the full height with a black tarp, and keep it damp in the sun. The water will transfer into the strains, and black tarp will retain heat. Steam bending timber is easy to do.

    I'm trying to find the best solution right now for my post. I know this was a long time ago but what I'm going to try is use a steel angle 2 x 2 x 1/4 along a good portion of the post so as I screw it in, it pushes against the bow and hopefully aligns it.

      That's what I was thinking of doing with my 4 x 4 post which has warped so much that it's warped noticeably in 2 different directions 😅 I'll leaving the angle and screwed or maybe coach bolted and will wet the post and keep it damp.

    To take the pressure off the quick connect and the hoses turn off the the pump(shut off the tractor/step on the clutch and then move the control valve forward and back to relieve the pressure in the hoses and you won't loose any oil. LL&P

    Just get a water trough check valve. Theyre like 15 bucks a tractor supply. Just clips on the side of the trough and you can just leave the water on. Itll shut iff once the water line hits the check valve and you dont have to worry about the hose falling.

    @unrelentingsearcher9303 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Cheap tester. Unfortunately they are all Chinese cheap junk unless you have a fluke or a really nice field piece. But those aren’t specifically for fence testing. It’s picking up the magnetic field that all electric produces, even us! They call it an aura in humans!! But it’s just holding the first reading which is the magnetic fields from the fence. Really interesting that you figured that out, I can see where it would save a non electrician a lot of diagnostic tests and avoid replacing parts that are still functional. Really cool and interesting observation. Thanks a lot for sharing with us!! And the goat was definitely trying to see the screen on the tester to know if he had a chance to get out and go find a date for the afternoon 😂😂

    the m pump does not have the pressure to run the splitter get a pto drive system it will work great also the cyl on splitter is bnot big enough in dia need 4 in 24 stroke

  • @farnhamsteven3677
    @farnhamsteven3677 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Don't think an H belly pump will generate enough pressure to operate a wood splitter - unless you're splitting balsa wood. Typical operating pressure on a wood splitter is 2000 - 3000 PSI (I think). The electric over hydraulic might do it, depending on how much pressure it'll generate, but I don't know how many cords of wood that little battery-powered motor will split. Just get a splitter with engine and hydraulics all set up. You'll spend double or quadruple the amount on this arrangement, and it still won't work.

    I have the same problem for my shed. Bought them at HD (4x6) and sunk them in the ground with concrete. The corner one is bowing to the south presumably due to sun drying. If they are juicy at the store, do not buy! Got to dig it out with a backhoe.

    I'm building a 4 rail ranch fence, and the first post I put in a month or two ago is visibly warping. Another in the middle of the span is now bowing forward about 3-6 inches from the line I pulled between corners. I put every post in as straight as I possible with a bubble fence post level and they are all off now to some degree. Its unbelievable. Bought them at HD.

  • @keithwarkentin
    @keithwarkentin 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

    You should try to contact the people who you bought it from , and find out if it ever worked when they designed it. But I noticed that there isn’t any filter so it’s possible that if the cylinder seals are deteriorating the line can get plugged where the ports are smaller. But I would work backwards starting at the cylinders and see if you have flow ! 😀🇨🇦

    When wood splitter is hooked up your handle to chistmas tree valve,lol,determines which way you want the splitter valve to work and leaving your tractors hydraulics on either way dont matter,the splitter valve has a bypass which lets it circulate when not in use then you engage the splitter to control the splitter. I run mine all day long and never turn the hydraulic off on tractor. When you have the loader hooked up,try holding the control one way and pushing or pulling the tractor control the other way at same time,it should just reverse it,far as preasure on lines when hooking something up,just shut tractor off and then work all controls and it should relieve the preasure on lines

      I am a little late on watching this but I wonder if it's best to wait until the lumber dries out before it's put in place I built a deck and one of the 4+4s is warped pretty bad.

  • @FarmLovingFool
    @FarmLovingFool ปีที่แล้ว

    You have seen a bowed 4x4 at my farm. And you seen that I put a large amount of weight on it. It took a full year to get SOME of the bow out. Just replace it!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @johnpeck5118
    @johnpeck5118 ปีที่แล้ว

    If the 4x4 has dried out and warped as far as it will go I would use this idea to level the 4x4. I would take and unfasten the exterior that is fastened to the 4x4 that is out of level and shim the exterior to level. Then I would use 2x6s or 2x8s for my door jamb on each side and top piece setting each side level.
