There is some good info in this but I will admit, I did laugh out loud when he said zero carbon! The facts are that there is a load of money wasted to enable box ticking and keep people in unnecessary jobs. The sooner the carbon agenda is forgotten the better. It is all just a racket.
Interesting
I'm working with Field crickets and love this video, nice compilation of facts, well done
Thank you, we hope you enjoyed the video!
I love history,brilliantly done 😊
Just found a tick on my cat, we live in a semi urban area which is also home to alot of hedgehogs. hopfully its the one and only tick we encounter
What a wonderful exploration of River Hamble Country Park! The hidden histories you uncovered make this place even more intriguing. Thank you friend for sharing such fascinating insights and beautiful scenery.
Such a fascinating exploration! Staunton Country Park and Farm is full of hidden gems and rich history. Thank you for sharing these wonderful insights. New friend is here! Best wishes, Chiara & Donato Fuoridalsentiero ❤
Very interesting. Thank you.
I have just completed this walk, having found it on the OS app. This was a beautiful and quiet bit of Hampshire countryside. The walk provided plenty of variety, far reaching views and a few deer. Good suggestion Hampshire Countyside Service!
Hamble Valley Guides gave a Walking Tour of HMS Cricket this year to mark the 80th Anniversary of D-Day. Could you ask them to do it again on a regular basis - it was very informative!
It's brilliant that local government is doing this kind of work and genuinely caring about the environment and not just green washing. Good job presenting Karima 👏

Great spot! Thank you for noticing, we'll definitely keep and eye out for this moving forward.
Climate change is just an agenda it’s actually gotten cooler in the last few hundred years fact
♥️👀👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
we've visited Staunton several times and never realised there was so much history, thank you
Love learning about the history of these sites. What a treat! Thank you <3
Very informative! Thank you
Thank you Nicole, I've visited Lepe all my life and I AM now 69. I didn't know hardly any of the history of leap nor that there were bunkers underneath the top of the park. Thank you so much for making the video.
Currently reading Watership Down and I can say it's one of my favorite books. So surprised that it was based on real life location and how beautiful it is. Thank you for showing the places, I hope I can visit there someday
Fantastic presentation. You managed to cram in so much detail.
Amazing and informative video, videography is incredible too! Thank you 🙌🏼
Excellent video! Very interesting and incredibly well made and presented!
Excellent film. We visited the park and museum last year and were massively impressed. The museum is beautifully laid out and filled with lots of interesting exhibits. Everybody should visit this important venue when visiting the Southampton area.
Lovely to watch your short film Alison. Look forward to seeing again on the farm soon. You really make our visits so much more interesting.
This gem of a traditional farm and farmhouse deserves wider publicity - come on Hampshire County Council, buck up your marketing act!
How lovely, and so well presented. Love to visit. Many thanks
Interesting and informative talk. Manor Farm is a little gem in Hampshire.
All BS...Leave it to nature...the trees always recover
Are you for real? I have not seen an ash tree with die back recover, they can't recover, there is no cure yet, wake up.
Fascinating Ursula - well done, great narration!
All good advice but doesn't touch on a farmer's responsibility, makes out that it is all down to the walker. Quite often there isn't an alternative and/or you can't see the livestock when you enter the field. Cows may be 'curious' but they also kill people (with or without dogs) and should not be out on public rights of way when they have calves.
Why not divert paths if our cattle are out, can i tell you what to do on your land
@@stephenholmes1036 I'd always be happy to use a safe, signposted alternative rather than go through cattle.
Commonsense response, sadly ive met people who simply won't! Its about compromise and Commonsense
Lepe was used during filming of the 1970s Famous Five. The white house is used in the first episode, portrayed as fictional place Kirrin
Lovely area one of my favourites 😀
Not famous just for racing. The 1982 World and European Field Archery Championships were held there and it is used regularly for the British Field Archery Championships. The Warren is one of the worlds greatest field archery courses.
Bulls of recognised dairy breeds (Ayrshire, British Friesian, British Holstein, Dairy Shorthorn, Guernsey, Jersey and Kerry) that are over the age of 10 months are banned by law from fields containing a public right of way. Bulls over 10 months of any other breed must be accompanied by cows or heifers when in fields with public access. Make sure that any warning notices relating to a bull are displayed only when it is actually present in a field. Horses may be kept loose in fields crossed by public rights of way, as long as they are not known to be dangerous. You can be prosecuted if you keep any potentially dangerous animal on land crossed by a public right of way.
The following is cut and pasted from Government Guidance on obligation of landowners and occupiers of land with R of W running across it. I suggest that a bull in a field with access to people legitimately using a R of W is not complying with Gov. Guidance. I agree with previous comment that of course dogs should be properly controlled and on a lead but if a bull is in a field with a R of W it should be fenced off, I believe bulls are potentially dangerous animals.
Perhaps you'd like us to stop farming?
Of course dogs should be on a lead and you should shut the gate - but it's the landowners that need to make sure people (and their dogs) are safe from livestock on rights of way. If a bull isn't safe to walk past it shouldn't be there.
Im.a shepherd please keep your dogs on a lead and train them around livestock. Always close all gates and if cows come up let your dog go, ignore the cattle. Please DO NOT FEED ANYONE ELSES ANIMALS.
Wouldnt it be better to leave them until they're critically unsafe? They provide food for insects, birds, mosses and fungi. Is it another excuse to make money from the timber. Alot of the elm felled went to waste and is in carpenters yards rotten away. What about beaudeax mix? Has that been tried or has the the council bothered trying it.
There are many Ash dieback research projects taking place across the UK by Defra scientists, Forest Research, universities, and many other organisations. At present there is no known cure for ash dieback. Due to the nature of the disease, it is not always possible to leave infected trees standing. Many of the trees are weakened by the disease which allows other secondary pathogens to attack, this means trees can fail via the roots or lose large branches before the trees are completely dead. Bordeaux mixture along with other fungicides are being looked at by scientists across Europe as a potential treatment, but at present no viable option has been found.
Is there any reasearch being done for vacines and cures for ash die back? The government should be pouring money into it.
pretty lady interesting video
I loved this. I was walking this exact walk, between White Hill and Ladle Hill (and down to the A34) this weekend. I really love the Wayfarer's Walk, and I am walking it for the second time (third and fourth time if you count the fact I walk it in both directions, to and from my car). This is a splendid stretch. I wish I had spotted the tree with the names carved in, but when I walk it for the fifth and sixth time, I shall : -) Thank you so much for making such a great video. I also think I will read Watership Down : -)
Delighted you enjoyed the walk and our video! Missing the tree with the names just gives you a good excuse to head out a few more times. "Watership Down" is definitely a must-read for any fan of the area. Happy walking!
Nice walk . Thanks for the heads up. I will check it out sometime 😀
Glad you enjoyed the video! We hope you love exploring it as much as we do. Happy walking!
That girl has lots of passion
