My husband and I have a Hesston 4900, it is missing tying the second knot. Would you happen to have any suggestions on what we should check first?

We had issues with our lower tensioners on our 2019 MF2270's when we first got them. Never remembered having so many issues with them in the past on the 2290's and 4910's. We ended up installing the tube guide from the Maize Corp. and hardly have a twine come out of the tensioners anymore. Although, baling timothy grass causes the most problems and reveals if your knotting system is not set correctly. I enjoy these videos and appreciate the effort you put into them.

Pro tip. Trip the stuffer a few times when you are done baling. Gets most of the hay out of it. Most of what you talked about in the beginning, is every day cleaning for us. A leaf blower does alright, but we sure love our 185cfm compressor. Leaf blower takes an hour and a half to blow off our 4900.. The compressor, it's a 15 minute job and it's cleaner. A flat bar works great for digging out the backside of the plunger. End of season, after the baler is empty, it gets blown out, then copious amounts of water to flush everything, every tube, twine boxes.. then pressure washer.. then grease and oil everything.. and run it for a few minutes. Basically we're over it 3X, inspecting as we go.. Thanks for the video!!
