Think about it this way, if you catch the ball you don’t need to worry about getting hit and if you can’t get there with your hands fast enough move your body with you as a last line of defense

take shots in front of a fence, so you know it's not going to hit you and you can focus on your movement

keep seeing shots, I used to be scared and wanted to quit but I stuck with it and now less than a year later I'm way better of a goalie than i ever thought i could be!
