Frampton has always used an SM-58
Great video. Been using one for years. Went through so many weirdest thing was Nazareth s singer use one with bagpipes. So cool !!!
Thnx for the video, I'm trying to set up an MXR 222 with my quad cortex but get stuck at the volume being to low. What volume (more or less) is coming out of your tube that goes into your mouth?
Natural of the beast😂
Thanks Aaron, I just got my talk box and haven’t opened it yet till I see this awesome video of you,now I’m ready for the road, Sending good vibes from Puerto Rico 🇵🇷
There's a video of u playing with a Boston tribute band and u play let me take u home tonight.
Livin on a prayer is a the coolest riff 4 a talkbox. Whoever invented the talkbox is badass cause the talkbox is awesome u can play on a guitar bass a ukulele a harp a keyboard and just even do it solo like Hair of the Dog Nazareth.
EXCELLENT...Thanks!
cool video. Listerine for cleaning...
My thoughts
AI is not going to take over music or art. Why? Because it’s empty and imitative and that’s all it can be. It seems impressive at first but quickly wears thin.
What’s up with the tumor on your arm. Have you seen a doctor?
Great advice Aaron, thanks
Yeah, lyric's matter. Including non-sensical lyrics. You still know that there was some idea or thought behind them. And I really wish Paul McCartney would have continued on with "Scrambled Eggs". I think the world really could use a heartfelt song about scrambled eggs.
Great piece. I was wondering what the Tital was about, but I had it figured once the fourth circle popped up. I wasn't paying attention to the graphics up to that point.
The 2 things i have problem with using a talkbox are. Breath noises from my nose Not being able to look at the fretboard. Because my nose is now on top of the mic it gets picked up more (i think the SM57 is worse than the SM58) I found that breathing out of my mouth made less noise, but it takes effort to breathe that way. I had an adapter for a 2nd mic was no longer using (it is about 4 inches to the side of my main mic) and i r used it to point the tube in front of the mic
Good video. The thing that bothers me is when I turn my talk box on, there's quite a difference in volume and sound compared to my amp. Not a smooth transition when clicking it on and off it's very noticeable. For that reason, I have not been using it. Frustrating...
Thanks, Aaron. Perfectly paced video. No messing around, just great info and tips.
Amazing video. Only specifics and important advice. Rarely does anyone discuss the problem so clearly and waste the viewer's time. Thanks and greetings from Poland.
I have a tackle box too! Still got mine from 45 years ago! Its a Rebel lures tackle box. Has all my bass plugs and trout stuff in it from when VH 1 came out! haaaa!
Good tips. Thanks
Great tips! Thank you!
👍🎸Good Vibes! Aaron, we enjoy all your videos!!!
Alright man!Kinda sounds vocally like NoFX, a little skate boardy classic rock. Very nice man. Paully G referred me to you.
2 Questions. Are you signing or talking into the tube or just moving your mouth? Also, do you need a separate mic plugged in and next to the talk box tube?
Just move your mouth. No need to make any sound. Yes you need a microphone. The talkbox sound does not come out of your amp. It comes out of the PA via the microphone next to the tube.
thanks.@@aarontunes
I can't believe you surprised me with "Man in the Box". You got me good.
I enjoyed that! I am not a guitarist but a singer, and nosey! I just wanted to wanted to know how it worked. Very entertaining and well explained! 👍😁
was having trouble using a Beta 58... thanx for the SM57 tip!
Reminds me of Brian adams.
(Yeah, I spelled his name wrong)
Great vid, thanks for sharing your experience
Great vid and fun :D
I blew the speaker on my talk box
I like this sound, its kind a country twang and rock too. Very bright colors
Sure helpful, thank you!
How do you hook your guitar in it and into the amp
Yeah but where the mic goes i never understood what amplification and speaker a mic needs
Great song about a great lady. Nice work!
New begins now
Nice one, Aaron! 😎
Alternatively - I think it might often be better to focus on hooks in the bass and lay back on guitar to make room for it. It shouldn't be a shred fest, it can be simple, but a proper bass hook can BE the song in a way that guitar just can't.
I was thinking this might have been in Steilacoom back around 1998 or so.....Hawaiian house party, tiki torches, band, lots of folks nine sheets to the wind, all of it on verge of looming disaster....until you said 100 yard sprint to stage. This one might have been 15 feet to the stage.... well within yaking distance....so a different house party. But great story !
Thanks for this, Aaron - having it laid out into those categories, makes a lot of sense. 😎
🤘🏼Thanks Aaron! Awesome advice
Also - don't put winged scarabs on your picks if you ain't got the chops. Aaron can probably play them tunes in his sleep.
Haha…and then I wake up….
Great stuff, I realize this is a warmoth tag line, but If ever a time for keep on pickin...🙂
Haha....I know, right?
Love the solo. Also great melodies, thanks man!
You handled that like a true pro! Fire bad, music good!
Well, seems like that gig went a bit Rammstein-ish. Lucky You've made it in one piece.
I'm pretty sure Tiki is Hawaiian for Flaming Death Trap. Structures made of grass and wood with plenty of fire and alcohol. Fire + Grass is never a good thing. Add liquid fuels and ... just no.
Great story! Wait so the house burned? Down? We missed the ending
ESP E-II
One of my favorite guitars I own, and one of the few that has been left completely stock (except for the knobs.)
@@aarontunes I have a M-II that I bought back in 2006. Also have a EC, but I'm much more interested in my Warmoth guitars these days.
