What!? Vivne developed such an advanced Leaf battery testing euipment!?
#nissanleaf #batterytesting #qualitycontrol
A. The use of the equipment:
1: Rapidly conduct a complete charge and discharge test on the entire battery pack. If there is abnormal, our engineers can find it at the first time.
2: Simulate the impact of current changes on the dynamic pressure difference during vehicle driving, such as the dynamic pressure difference at 50A current or 100A current.
3: After a period of rapid charging and discharging, it is convenient to use a thermal image device to monitor the temperature of the battery and power cables.
4: Battery transportation has strict SOC requirements. The equipment discharges the battery pack that is about to be shipped. Usually discharge the SOC below 50% when shipping.
B.The special features of the equipment:
1: Our electrical engineers developed and manufactured it for Nissan Leaf.
2: It can also perform charging and discharging tests on other models, with a maximum charging and discharging power of 90KW. When testing LEAF, the power can reach 42KW (the maximum power of Chademo 1.0 version), and the maximum current can reach 120A.
3: Two battery packs can be tested at the same time, the first one discharges and the second battery charges, while monitoring the dynamic pressure difference.
4: After the test is carried out for a period of time, use a thermal image device to scan the battery to inspect whether there is any abnormality.
Leaf upgrade, only thing we do!

  • @dennisshannon3288
    @dennisshannon3288 6 วันที่ผ่านมา

    We bought Two 50kwh battery packs and one plug and play 64kwh plug and play. Have just installed the 64kwh in a 2015 leaf, works great, showing just over 400k on range, that was when driving about 70% on highway, between 90 and 100 kph and 30% city stop and go. Helen sent info on using leaf spy to mate battery to car, it worked perfect, battery showed very good. Install was no problem, lots of videos showing method on you-tube, the main thing is to plan lifting battery and maneuvering it under car so holes line up; best to have an engine lift or other equipment to handle batteries and a strong wagon of some kind to maneuver them, it is heavy. We have not assembled 50kwh packs yet, hope to do this in next few weeks (using case out of 2015 which got the 64kwh upgrade). This upgrade makes these cars great for local town and highway driving, the original was really just a town car (especially with old battery), at least from my experience. I like the smaller leaf motor (107hp) and the simple front-wheel drive, very economical, dependable transportation. Helen has been great to respond to our questions and the battery shipment was very well packaged. We are in north central Canada (Northern Ontario), batteries were shipped to Toronto where we traveled to pick them up. (total weight about 1 ton) We are looking forward to getting the 50kwh batteries installed and seeing how they perform this winter, we do get significant cold for about 3 months and moderate cold (below 0 centigrade at night) for another 2 months. We plan to experiment with some battery warming for the cold nights especially; it will be interesting to get some experience with this issue. If you want to get a leaf upgrade without to much trouble at a reasonable price, this seems the way to go.

      @@ianlighting100 It is not fixed. The displayed mileage is based on the energy economy. We had at most displayed 558kms on our Leaf. Customer side also feedbacked had run 567kms actually. We also did the test on full highway, when the energy economy is high and the displayed mileage is only just more than 300kms. When the battery gets older, the internal resistance of the battery increases,the battery capacity will reduce. The maximum displayed mileage will also decrease, but it mostly related with the energy economy as above mentioned.

    Can I fit this into my Leaf 2015? Would this be a bigger battery chassis and do you need to make a special harness or customizations to the botom to fit it in?

    • @VIVNEHelenMao
      @VIVNEHelenMao หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes, the 68kWh can fit into your 2nd gen Leaf. No need specially to make harness or customize to bottom. Only the 68kWh battery is 25mm higher than original. So will need to use 10 solid spacers when installing. Please check the other video in the channel, which have the explanation on the solid spacers. Thank you.

    What is the true mileage with air conditioner on? There are many MODES you can drive in. For examples, you have Eco mode with B combined for regenerative power. Then you have Eco and D which is in the middle. Then you have just D for Drive mode for maximum speed. Of course these modes are affected by air conditioner on full maximum power which depletes battery by 20% -30% percent! VIVNE claims 304 miles for battery life, however did not specify which MODE this tested in? Also with air conditioner on? True mileage will vary on which modes you choose and conditions.

    • @VIVNEHelenMao
      @VIVNEHelenMao หลายเดือนก่อน

      We usually drive in D mode. In summer time, if with the air conditioner on, depletes battery by 10% percent, yet depletes more when in winter time. We had also tested the range with full highway and air conditioner is on the whole time. Please check the other testing videos in the channel. Thank you.

      @@VIVNEHelenMao Ty for your reply. I notice the one you are referring to is a Generation 2 Leaf or with new body style. It is a different model than the one you test in this video which is Generation 1 (forgive me I don't know the model classes too well). But I can tell you mine is a 2015 Leaf with the Gen 1 body style, in fact it looks like the one in this video with same white paint. Do you think that the air conditioner depletion is less compared to the newest generation to the previous generation? You claim 10% depletion with air conditioning but what about Generation 1 style of Leaf? If you can test air conditioner depletion with Generation 1 it might be better example because I think the newer Leaf have better technology in the software or build to distribute energy from air conditioner than previous Generation.

    • @VIVNEHelenMao
      @VIVNEHelenMao หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@roamlikekane Yes, according to our experience, the air conditioner depletion is less compare to the newest generation to the previous generation. But there is no quantitative data.

      The motor of Leaf is not big, only 80kW. We replace with big CATL cells, which generate less heat and bear a smaller C rate. So no extra cooling is needed.
