I was there, this was probably my favourite from the set. Everyone was singing along.. it was nice. Standing in front of Flea.. I feel privileged to have watched him perform. He had an amazing night, as he always does.

I know it’s a weird analogy. But I always thought that “In Waves” was about opiate withdrawal. For anyone who’s gone through it, they know the pain and misery comes in waves. One second you are fine. Then the next, you are in pure hell. You are so miserable that you feel so alone. You feel the world has shit all over you. You feel the urge to take the world down in to your hell. I know it’s not the actual meaning, but that’s what it means to me.
