I'm running in to an issue with my script - I keep getting the output message "No rows selected from the source table match the filter criteria" even though I've got my checkbox checked in my completed column. I'm not sure what I need to edit in my script, or what criteria I'm missing. 😭

Very nice video! Appreciate your efforts. It appears office scripts do not have the ability to react to events. This precludes the ability to move the row automatically on change of the checkbox value to true. The office script is perfect for choosing when to clear completed tasks. As you mentioned clearing at the beginning or end of the day.

thank you for sharing this! what if my column B in this scenario doesnt have spaces? so like if your column b said AtomicEmissionSpectroscopy, would your function still be able to find Spectroscopy and detect a positive match?

This solution works but has the handicap that for every row in your worktable you create data in the two helper tabels. For smal files no problem but for excel files with thousands of rows you create la lot of data that's not going to be used anymore. That can be a great handicap!

It's what I was looking for, but my table has one column with hyperlinked text. Is there any way to carry that hyperlink over? Second item, is there a way to have a default text in the search field like "click here" that disappears when it's clicked or is that a product ofVBA only? It's just that I don't want to display the whole table by default, I'd like it to show zero results when someone opens it. Thanks muchly!

I’ve been on the hunt for implementing what I envisioned Excel to be able to do! You nailed it. I do wish, however, that the search bar could be on the same sheet as the data and just filter that set of data vs creating another table elsewhere.

Weird, VBA keeps saying I have a bug in the following line of code: "Else: ActiveSheet.Shapes("Calendar").Visible = False" but it´s exactly the same as in the video... I ran the code several times until it crashed... don´t know what I´m doing wrong :( "Run-time error +2147024809 (80070057)´: The item wiht the specificied name wasn´t found"

I have learned so much from you thanks <3. And I also have a question. Do you know how =functionxml works because the codes won't work with =functionxml and I had to install microsoft 2021 inorder for me to use =FUNCTION.

SUPER helpful. The only thing I would edit is the location of the date pick when it appears. When it is so close to the cell, it hides the drag function of that cell. A quick fix is to put a "1.5 x cell width" in the code to offset the date picker just a bit.

Do you know how I can change this so the calendar appears to the left of the active cell instead?
