there are some CHUNKY books omg
what was I thinking 😂
I’ve been hearing a lot about fourth wing lately. I’m almost convinced to read it but I don’t like spice lol. I also feel like a lot of the books that are trashed on tiktok, insta or TH-cam are better than they’re made out to be. Because you go into it with such low expectations.
I’d recommend getting it from the library if you can just in case you hate it bc then you won’t have wasted any money lol. There is a bit of spice but I think some people create lists of which chapters have it so then you can avoid those parts. I also agree about popular books sometimes being better than expected. I still refuse to read Lightlark though lol.
@ that’s really helpful! Thank you! That’s really funny, because I actually read light lark. It definitely wasn’t good. But I went into it with the expectation that I was gonna hate it. So it was a read. And it was OK. Like three stars when I was expecting one, lol
I am such a selfish knitter too. My 6yo will ask for things here and there and I dread it 😂 unless it’s something small I love making and don’t mind making it again and again, then chances are no one is getting anything. I did make Oslo hats for my husband and our two kids, and that was a blast because I love that pattern. But for the most part my making is for me. I don’t want to take time away from making myself things!
Haha totally agree! If I like making it and it’s small then I’m more likely to do it but to make a whole sweater to give it away pains me 😂😂
omg your film set up is so cute !!! dream room my gosh
thank you!!! It’s my pride and joy lol
❤❤
❤❤❤
i really love your vlog, wonderful🥺❤❤ thank u for it!!
Thank you! I’m glad you liked it :)
Howdy! I don't read fiction, but I checked out your channel and I'm really amazed at how consistent you are at creating videos! Your level of passion is really amazing to watch. You inspire me! Cheers!
I hope you meet your reading goal for 2024! And how do you even manage to balance YT, knitting, reading, editing these videos, and pursuing a masters???!!! You ma'am are the most productive person ever. I'm happily subscribing!
Hello everyone! Now that I have moved out, I feel comfortable sharing that this dorm hall is Davis Gary lol. All singles with one apartment style double. The corner rooms on each floor are the size of a double but you still get the space to yourself. There are communal bathrooms that are cleaned daily so they aren't too bad. Cost wise, it is cheaper than a lot of the doubles on campus, hence why I went with it. Things might have changed since I last lived here, but I still miss it haha.
Hrllo Hailey I'm so happy I found your channel! I think the ions scarf is so cool and creative, can't wait to see the final version! The black sweater looks pretty good on camera in your hands but if you don't like it frog it 😅
Thank you!!! The black sweater definitely looks better in the light but the fit is just so off 😭😂😂
BOOK COVER PATTERN: This has not been tested and I have no idea how gauge might factor into this. I recommend doing a swatch of the motif and then figuring out how many repeats you can do based on your own gauge. The pattern below is what I did but you may have to mess with the numbers if my gauge is wack haha! Let me know if you have any questions :) 1. Cast on 45 stitches using Turkish cast on. You will be doing magic loop with a total of 90 stitches. 45 stitches will be on needle one (the front of the cover) and 45 stitches on needle two (the back of the cover). 2. Knit in magic loop until the cover measures 1.25 inches, or until you are ready to start the motif. 3. NEEDLE ONE: Knit 4, purl 2, place marker. Knit 11, place marker. Knit 11, place marker. Knit 11, place marker. Purl 2, Knit 4. 4. NEEDLE TWO: Knit all stitches. 5. Repeat this next section a total of 4 times or until you are happy with the height of your cover. Needle One will have the motif while Needle Two will have all stitches knit. This motif is over 11 stitches. Depending on how many “waves” you have, repeat this section over all the stitches until you get to the purl stitches that mark the end. For example, I did three “waves” of the motif, so after my 6 edge stitches, I repeated the 11 stitch motif three times. I hope this makes sense! MOTIF PATTERN (worked over 11 stitches): Row 1: k3, p5, k3 Row 2: k all stitches Row 3: k all stitches Row 4: p all stitches Row 5: k2tog, k2tog, YO, K, YO, K, YO, K, YO, SSK, SSK Row 6: k all stitches Row 7: repeat Row 5 Row 8: p1, k9, p1 Row 9: k all stitches Row 10: repeat Row 8 Row 11: k all stitches Row 12: k all stitches Row 1, Needle 1: K4, P2, SM *work row 1 of motif*, SM, P2, K4 *repeat row 1 of motif 3 times (more or less depending on how many “waves” you have); also SM between each repeat* Needle 2: Knit all stitches Row 2, Needle 1: K4, P2, SM *work row 2 of motif*, SM, P2, K4 *repeat row 1 of motif 3 times* Needle 2: Knit all stitches Row 3, Needle 1: K4, P2, SM *work row 3 of motif*, SM, P2, K4 *repeat row 1 of motif 3 times* Needle 2: Knit all stitches Row 4, Needle 1: K4, P2, SM *work row 4 of motif*, SM, P2, K4 *repeat row 1 of motif 3 times* Needle 2: Knit all stitches Row 5, Needle 1: K4, P2, SM *work row 5 of motif*, SM, P2, K4 *repeat row 1 of motif 3 times* Needle 2: Knit all stitches Row 6, Needle 1: K4, P2, SM *work row 6 of motif*, SM, P2, K4 *repeat row 1 of motif 3 times* Needle 2: Knit all stitches Row 7, Needle 1: K4, P2, SM *work row 7 of motif*, SM, P2, K4 *repeat row 1 of motif 3 times* Needle 2: Knit all stitches Row 8, Needle 1: K4, P2, SM *work row 8 of motif*, SM, P2, K4 *repeat row 1 of motif 3 times* Needle 2: Knit all stitches Row 9, Needle 1: K4, P2, SM *work row 9 of motif*, SM, P2, K4 *repeat row 1 of motif 3 times* Needle 2: Knit all stitches Row 10, Needle 1: K4, P2, SM *work row 10 of motif*, SM, P2, K4 *repeat row 1 of motif 3 times* Needle 2: Knit all stitches Row 11, Needle 1: K4, P2, SM *work row 11 of motif*, SM, P2, K4 *repeat row 1 of motif 3 times* Needle 2: Knit all stitches Row 12, Needle 1: K4, P2, SM *work row 12 of motif*, SM, P2, K4 *repeat row 1 of motif 3 times* Needle 2: Knit all stitches Repeat these 12 rows until you are happy with how high the pattern is. Mine was about 15 cm from the cast on edge. I repeated these 12 rows four times. Knit all stitches on both needles for 7 more cm or until you can cover a whole book of your choosing. Purl all stitches on Needle 1, Knit all stitches on Needle 2. Repeat this two times. Cast off stitches on Needle 1. You will now have stitches only on Needle 2 and you will be working flat. Repeat the two lines below until you have 22 stitches remaining. (This part may be wrong lol, so you can just decrease until you feel happy. I decreased until the flap was able to loosely fold over 4cm of the front of the book cover. From the cast off edge of the front, the flap part on Needle 2 measures about 8.5 cm for me.) On every right side, k3, ssk, knit until five stitches remain, k2tog, k3. On every wrong side, purl the entire row. Cast off all stitches. Pick up stitches in the middle of the flap. For me, I counted 8 stitches from the right side on the right side of the work, casted on 8 stitches, and then had 7 stitches on the other side. Not quite even, but not that big of a deal for me. After casting on the 8 stitches, flip work to wrong side and work the following: Wrong side: purl all stitches Right side: knit all stitches Wrong side: purl all stitches Right side: knit 3, k2tog, YO, knit 3 Continue working in stockinette until you have made 10 rows in total from the cast on edge. Cast off, weave in all ends, and sew the button somewhere in the stockinette section of the front side of the cover. Block if you wish :) I added a single crochet edge around the border of the opening to help the stitches lay flat and make the edges look nicer. I also blocked incredibly aggressively lol. Hopefully this makes sense! If it doesn’t, feel free to ask questions! I’ve never written a pattern before and I feel that by trying to make this as clear as possible I made it even more confusing lol.

I’ve never written a pattern before and I feel that by trying to make this as clear as possible I made it even more confusing lol.
When you're talking about the SJM covers, you say she changed the covers. Just an FYI, authors usually dont make those decisions, its publishers, authors would probably want their books released fully in every version ever made. Lovely shelves and a great tour.
Thank you!! I figured that was the case. I think it makes sense because the books are starting to have more mature content and the old covers probably didn’t suggest that??? Either way I love both covers haha.
Listening to Jane Austen’s books on audio also helped me get into classics! Sense and Sensibility and Emma were some of the first classics I read outside of school and now I can’t imagine my life without them.
Omg yes! I finished Sense and Sensibility a few months ago and I was like where has this book been all my life 😂
Good luck for your master's and for your job! :)
Thank you!!
Thanks for the amazing content you provide ❄️🌸!
Wait so if you use an electric bike to get to a building do you just like leave it there? Or do you have to take it back to where you got it once you’re done? Or are you not allowed to leave it just anywhere on campus
공부 열심히 하시는 모습이 좋아 보입니다.🎉
What size rug would you recommend to cover a good chunk of the floor by your bed? I got a double room for myself in Davis Gary this fall!
I enjoyed hearing about the books.
You should see about getting an internship or job with Texas Parks and Wildlife Department.

Hailey, I am applying in August to A&M Aerospace Engineering for fall 2023. I was wondering if you would be willing to exchange info so I can ask you some questions about the program. Mostly stuff like what books are required, how difficult the course load is, and stuff like that. Just trying to ready myself in advance so I come into this as prepared as I can be. Thank you and I hope to hear from you.
Hi Jason, I am the new graduate student and start in Jan 2023. I am mechanical engineer student. I don’t know the course load yet. Thanks!
@@samrae5590 Thanks for the reply. I actually rerouted my plans slightly. I am still planning to attend A&M, but decided to knock out my lower-level classes locally first. I am about to start my second semester at a local college taking 16 hours. My first semester I finished with a 4.0 GPA. My next semester starts tomorrow, but I feel confident. I hope your semester goes well, and maybe I will run into you on campus some day in the future. My wife and I have watched your videos and we both LOVE A&M. Have a great semester ma'am and again, if you would like to exchange info and keep in touch that would be cool. At least then I would have a contact at A&M that knows the ropes!!!
thank youuu, i said bless you hahahahah
Happy to see you again ^ _^
