@@Dimibruh I mostly use a brush I made but that's nothing impressive. It's just a soft round that I keep adjusting in case I find a setting I like. Haven't settled on anything yet. I also use the chrome brush that Krita comes with except I turn off the color stuff for it. I can't remember how they word it in the settings. Dave Rapposa uses that brush. I would watch his live streams to get a sense of what he's doing. Other than that just think of it as a video game that you keep leveling up on. It's endless but it's more fun to do the trial and error needed to get somewhere with it. Maybe I'll get good at it some day. 😅

@@ilikethemthick1105 I've shide away from texturing for a long time and there's a lot there that I'm still struggling with but I'm a bit closer to understanding it than I was. I'm attempting to simulate part of the lighting in textures a little like Arcane but not trying to replicate that style completely.

@@Mubibum I'm trying 😂 I keep having ideas. Many of them don't work out but I'm gaining a little ground on it. I think I'm going at it in unorthodox ways as well. Most because I have learning problems when it comes to instruction. I'm also very slow at this but it's fun 😊

​@@JayceMcCormickI'm not an animator but I wonder about meshes that aren't directly attached to a figure. Like armor. If I was to animate the loose meshes I have here I would try to approach it that way.

@@azkinkon I wasn't satisfied with the pose and I had booleaned it to another model so it was a denser mesh than I wanted to edit or repose. Working from a dynamic drawing doesn't lend itself to a t pose for me either. Especially when I'm not sure what the back of the figures are going to be. Inevitably the topology that I first create is going to lack symmetry. Also the goal changed from 3d printing to texturing 🤪 I'm never satisfied with what I have. I never want to be afraid of disturbing something I got by accident. I want to know I can repeat or improve on things that happen in the moment.

@@Jurassic_E-zilla It's evolving I suppose. Like layers of sketches to refine the result. It's surprising that I don't cling to what I already have as if it's not worth while to go further. That's where the fun is.

It's a baby dragon on the helmet of one of the guardians of the Dresden Arch in Germany. A structure that I believe is part of the Tartarian empire. They are very cool statues! I want to see if I can make a model good enough for 3d printing.

Yep I'm still at it and finally figuring out a way to rotate it while working on it makes it easier to see problems in my design. I have to say that it's now in honor of my cat instead of for her use though. She suddenly passed away a little over a month ago. Something very rapidly took her down late in the evening on a Saturday with no veterinary clinics open and in a rural area. I don't know what she got into while I was outside for about an hour but all I could do was hold her as she became paralyzed and was gone.

Yah that's so I can make the torso as a separate piece. I plan on using cardboard as bark on the outside as well. I need to make separate pieces because of the height of this sculpture and my own physical limits.

I will build around this cardboard and lay down a barrier and then put cardboard pieces inside this one so they match the shape but aren't attached to the other one and build from there to start with.

I have music in some of my finished pieces. But the daily uploads and a project as lengthy as this one I don't know. I tend to see what I do as experiment not expertise. So many declarations being made. Picking music that's right for these is a puzzle 🫣

No it continues but the holidays take something out of me that old age doesn't want to give back. 😊

It's a bit ponderous like the progress of a small creature as well. But it's a material that cheaply allows me to attempt a large sculpture. I upload my progress on a painting most days as well. Thank you for commenting!
