I watched this video ages ago, and was bothered about a word you used whilst you captioned you shaking the spray paint. I didn’t say anything, because I felt it would cause more issues than it’s worth. I since forgot about this video. Found it again because I want to make a skeleton leaf out of my Clarinervium, and remembered that I didn’t like the word you use. Please don’t use the word “retarded” it’s such a derogatory word for people with disabilities. Even though you didn’t call anyone it, it ruined this video a bit for me. It bothered me because I have autism and have been called such a horrid word before. I just hate the word, anytime anyone says it, it just leaves a bad taste in my mouth so to speak.

I'm thoroughly captivated by the beauty of these rare plants! I've got 3 Thai Constellations that I grew from tissue culture - what a challenge! As an artist on a budget, I can't always afford the real thing, so I've started creating realistic versions of any rare or expensive plant I like, without breaking the bank. haha.

This is terrible advice, more like ''KILLING THE ILSEMANII''. You should never pull the only leaf on a plant/cutting, there is literally no good reason for doing this, you're just depriving it of the only specialized organ it has for photosynthesis. Worst case, the leaf would have died off naturally but at least the plant would have re-absorbed the energy from the leaf and used it to grow its axillary bud. It can still photosynthesize a little bit from the stem but it's probably running on <5% the energy it would have gotten if you'd kept the leaf on. If you want to avoid stem rot, just let it form a callus between the moment when you chop and when you pot. It doesn't necessarily kill your plant, I usually leave it be, the axillary bud will develop and the original node just ends up dying. Cutting it off will just add more stress to your plant. I'd be very impressed if you actually managed to save this cutting, the stem looked pretty bad from the start but I think that this would have been salvageable with proper care. Also, in what kind of world does somebody trade an ilsemanii (worth a few thousands) for an obliqua (worth $20)?

I use fish fungal and antibiotic treatments. It absorbs through the roots and kill the pathogen systematically from inside the plants.

Have you ever tried neem oil for such infections? I've just got my order from an online shop and all three scindapsus treubii dark form came to me with fungus infection... but now I'm not sure if it's only fungus :/

All of mine end up throwing all white leaves :( You might benefit using silica on those monsteras with the brown leaves.

This was soo super helpful!!! I thought the part on the actual stem was where the new leaf came from! Til I just got a new leaf on my crystallinum and figured it out. But before that, I had no idea!! I love antherium bc I feel like they are so rewarding , with how big the leaves get! So beautiful 😍

I've been using these 36W lamps for a few years now. Although several of my lamps didn't last much longer than a year running 12 hours/day, I will keep going back to these lamps. I notice that in the lamp shown in your video, the individual cells are different from the ones in my lamps, so this must be a newer generation of lamp. Maybe they did a redesign and maybe reliability is better now?

Can we collect pollen multiple times from the same inflo, or should we just wait to collect it all at once? I hope someone can answer this, my inflo has started developing pollen, it's been about week, and I don't know if I should be collecting pollen now, and more as long as it keeps producing.
