Smooth & refined the 2.0TDI is NOT. Best version to get though, that 184bhp version. Great car, we have the excellence version in blue with the 150bhp dsg. Apart from the slight agricultural engine my only gripe is the suspension which is quite firm for a people carrier, otherwise great car for the family.

Scirocco isn't known for performance? hmmmm... even the 2008 2.0TSi has 200bhp, you can hit 0-60 in about 6 seconds in that bad boy, I would say that's pretty good for an everyday car. Spend about £250 for stage 1 and you've got almost R-like performance. It's actually a great 2nd hand buy if you get a good example.
