The Ruck Shop 24 abs GROM stretch kit install-ish??
มุมมอง 1.2K6 หลายเดือนก่อน
On my first ever youtube video i show some close ups of the ruck shop stretch kit as well as the lowering link, go pro video kinda sucks but will be fixed for the next install video! slowing learing
Thanks for the video! I have a 122 link chain put away for this I’ll be reordering a 428 130 link chain as well as putting on a smaller rear sprocket Not going to the ruck shop for that Amazon is way for affordable with good reviews on same tools
What exauhst do you have?
Nice I just got a 2024 as well. I installed some spools and frame sliders come in next week as well. This video helped
What exhaust did you slap on? I thought it needed a full pipe
Yeahhhh we have the same bike!
Can i get a link for the frame sliders please?
Thanks for watching, I have a link for the frame sliders in the video description!
Dude how the hell you get nut back on? I cannotttt...
Manual says the filter needs to be torqued to 12.9 lb 🤙
We have the same bike lift and same year/motorcycle lol. I just have the Gray and black color scheme with the same camo
What did you say the kit didn't come with? I couldn't ununderstand
Sorry man some reason TH-cam didn’t notify me of the comment. It didn’t come with a new crush washer for the drain bolt. But further in the video I show that the filter from the kit was actually the wrong one!
Id loc-tight that bad boy, its gonna vibrate out.
14mm bolt? Thats a weird size. Thanks for the upload, got my sliders on the way.
I have the exact same bike except mine is the KRT edition. This bike takes more than the 1.8l/1.9q that the manual calls for. Maybe they are not expecting you to drain all the old oil. 1.8l barely touches, BARELY touches the low line, and no way should you leave it at that. This bike took over 2l to get it just above half way between the marks on the sight glass. I even went as far as putting a carpenters level on the bike to make sure it was absolutely level when checking.
Have the same exact bike and I love it so much. Very fun!
Great walkthrough 👌 Though be careful with the torque specs on the drain bolt and the filter. And personally I think the oil sight glass is most correct when I sit on the bike for having as level as possible. You can easily miss the level if the bikes is slightly tilted and not 100% level because of the ground it is standing not being level.
Hey man how you like that bike? I have the same one and have a little over 3,000 miles
At times I wish I got a ZX6R or even the 10R but I then think about it and really really enjoy the 650! The more upright riding position is comfy for me being 6’3 I can ride for hours no issue.
@@AlexOutdoors561 I got on eBay and ordered a mesh seat cover set for mine and man it’s way cooler I also like mine the others are way more expensive
I may have to look into that! Anything to stay cool while riding in this Florida weather!
@@AlexOutdoors561 I've had a zx6r in the past and I sold my zx10r for a Z650. These 650's are proper street bikes. I'll never go back. Love my Z650. Only when you go up in cc and come back down will you appreciate the smaller bikes. Edit: Nice colour on your 650. Very smart indeed
@@AlexOutdoors561 it’s only like $30 for the complete set
good stuff man
Thanks! Gonna make a whole series of “Alex’s garage” haha not much outdoors going on here
What was the tourque on those frame bolts?
I wanna say it was either 32 or 35 ft/Lbs I’m don’t really remember.
@AlexOutdoors561 it was 32 thank you
Hey man I have the same bike. How do you like it
I really enjoy it, especially that it’s more of a commuter bike vs a typical street bike where you are more hunched over! With that honestly I want a ZX6R lol or even a 10R
Did you try to jack the engine while installing the sliders?
I did not, I did one side at a time so the engine didn’t move. If the bolts were hard going in I’d jack it up to get pressure off it, but wasn’t necessary.
What's the advantages of the stretched if any other than looks
On a grom there’s no real advantage, I’ve heard others say it actually limits the turn radius which it does. So yes more so just for looks
getting mine deliver friday. same color i cannot ride tho... will be learning as I go ,, thanks for the vid.
Is that a 4.5" stretch? I've read where the 2.5" stretch actually lifts the rear an inch or so
This is the 6 inch stretch. I’ve never heard about a stretch kit actually lifting the grom but could be wrong
What chain length did you use?? Need help. Watched your whole video and it definitely helped but my chain was too short
I wanna say it’s a 130 chain, I bought a kit from the ruck shop and it came with everything I needed. I had to use a chain breaker to take some links off mine.
420 130 link chain it’s $17 on Amazon
hey man nice name and bike lmfaoo i have the same bike could you drop a link to the sliders
My man Alex! Haha, TST industries is where I got them from. Not sure if TH-cam will let me post the link in a comment
Would this work the same on the 500?
I’m not really sure, I looked on TSTs website from where I got the sliders and they don’t show they make any for the 500s
Good times bro. RIP GoPro 360 cam. I agree that WavesRX makes some great products.
Congrats on the new bike bro.,..
Thank you! When you getting one?

Nice man, May need to get me a grom 😅
You should! Then we can have seadoos and groms to ride! lol
