They'd order children to be separated from their parents or family members as punishment, a devastating blow to the enslaved person’s sense of connection and community. And it wasn't just physical punishment; these women were masters of humiliation, forcing enslaved people to perform degrading tasks or publicly mocking them to strip away their dignity. So why is it surprising? Women in that era were often seen as nurturing or gentle, but in the reality of the plantation, they wielded power just as cruelly as men, using violence and fear to maintain their dominance.

Outstanding vocals. Killer tone and the main solo is right on. At times, his tremolo picking is overwhelming. I guess he's doing what people want to hear. Zakk is a beast on guitar, but I'll take the old-school, dark Iommi melancholy SG sound without all the pinching.

I remixed the original Black Sabbath version. Took the vocals a little lower. Sounds much better now, harder and heavier. 😊

I think he is one of the most overrated guitarists of the last 20 years.

Ok , first off I wasn’t going to complain about the pinch harmonics…… but shit he did overdo it . I love Zak , I love Black Sabbath. This isn’t my favorite but if I was in the audience I would probably dig it. This particular song needs to be played in its Sabbath gloomy droney c# tuning and played slow and simple. Kind of a clash of styles here.
