@@CosineKitty oh wow you know about devastation then, well it’s a very new situation here this far inland, but my family is safe and today we have running water and groceries from family coming from out of town to check on us, so I’m gonna be fine

Watching and listening in awe! The synth solo in the middle that raises from the nervous underground, and falls back into it, puts such a contrasting shine on the piece. So intense music!

So much happening and moving across the stereo field. I love! Oh, and that funky moog-ish bass is awesome.
Walking face-first into a spiderweb is a familiar experience where I live. I'm enjoying the vibe in this patch!

Fantastic piece! It has your usual plethora of sound inventions, but it's less disruptive this time and all bound together in a continuous flow (at least that's how I perceive it).
I agree, less fractured in form. Maybe that’s a good thing, but I will fracture again I’m sure.
@@cubistguitar I'd say, neither good nor bad, just different, or a bit different, cause the border is diffuse anyway.

@@Burt_Cokaine thank you, I still feel like some sort of novice myself, but I may get the courage to make a tute sometime. For VCV I take inspiration from Omri Cohen, but do my own nervous weirdo thing.

Without virtual cable management, this virtual synth rack would be utterly virtual insanity! I dig the violin samples! Or whatever that is

How do you even control all the variation in the patch? That's absolutely amazing! The mouse doesn't move during the whole video... If I would try to create something as remotely complex as this I would probably click all the time some buttons or turn knobs around...
Truly sometimes I tend every knob, but often I sequence sequence sequence. Often PGMR into MindMeld VCAs. Lots of sequenced and random modulation sources.

This is completely bonkers, and I mean that in the best possible way!
The 4 main voices are in 4 keys, C F#, Eb and A major the 4 way tie that propels the little ditty.

@@CosineKitty ahh, I have a large folder of short-ish clips I took from a collection of CBS Mystery Radio shows I found at the internet archiv, free to use radio dramas, I have used a few of these clips before.
@@cubistguitar Oh cool! As a boy back in the early 1980s, I would sometimes listen to those CBS Mystery Radio shows at night when I was supposed to be falling asleep. I would have to turn my radio down very quiet so my mom wouldn't hear it and make me turn it off!

This is a fun part of my Friday night playlist! Great job with the variety and surprise throughout. That's something I'm still working on myself as a musician. Any tips for sequencing things into "movements" like this? Was it all pre-programmed or are you manually deciding when to change modes in the patch?
You are the most kind listener, thanks. I am tightly programming a procession of ideas, but use some randomness to inject some surprises here and there, but for the most part I use PGMR to advance the “song” by controlling the mixer and even schedule key changes. This time I didn’t advance PGMR with a divided clock but used Navigator that can divide different each step( just a note Navigator clock inputs are reversed from the labeling) I often slew the changes coming from PGMR so it can blur the line where changes happen. I will replay these ad nauseum looking for ways to make interesting movements and your modules like Sloth and Frolic as well as Vults Caudal can get in the act of making variation in modulations. The gate outputs of PGMR may open vcas leading to delays or open paths for Spork to sound. Not sure if any of this helps. You and many designers are the inspiration by giving me creative options totally foreign to DAWs and traditional keyboard synths.

really dig your stuff dude. maybe u can do a video on how u structure and sequence your tracks. im a novice at best with VCV but i love what it can do
I have thought about doing a live build while it records so i can show the hows, but I need to prep this so it wont be so boring, just want to start patching and make a little musical sense the whole time

@@cubistguitar Ha ha! I see you did use a Glee. And right next to it is a Triple Sloth. Fun fact: even though Triple Sloth isn't a Sapphire module, I am the one who ported it from hardware to VCV Rack for Michael Hetrick's adaptation of Andrew Fink's "Nonlinear Circuits" modules. Andrew and Michael were both great guys to work with, btw.
