How to build an Above Ground swimming pool (Pool Vlog #10)
มุมมอง 669วันที่ผ่านมา
Works for most above ground kits, it’s all pretty much the same stuff this just happens to be a super nice kit we sell here in middle Georgia. This pool was quick and easy, tried to teach you how to build an above ground if you are new to the game and want one in the back yard

First rule of plumbing: shit flows down.
This is pool plumbing better not be no shit 🤣
I did this for 15 years for my dad I would run all the pvc to the equipment room by myself in them residential pools
@@josegutierrez7457yes sir miles of pvc laid in your life
These are half assed pools.
Plz explain how lol
🤘🤘
She is out there and will get better.
Built/work on pools for many many years. There’s always shit that happens once you get to into it that was unexpected. The customers have zero clue but always act like they know & try to tell you how to do the job they hired you to do.
This guy gets it 👍🏻👍🏻 you definitely understand
❤❤❤❤
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Fuckkkkkkkkkkkkkk
How do you find how far back to start your slope and how much of an angle the back walls need?
Awesome question, it’s all measured off the walls, the shallow end is 13 foot from the steps. The slope is 14 feet long and the deep end is 6 feet. The side walls always go out 4 feet then the drop is determined by the pool depth. For this pool (8 foot deep) just measured the distance from the bottom of the wall to the bottom of the pool with a string line and a tape measure
@@StoredJT how do you know you’re 4ft in at the bottom do yall use some kind of jig or like a laser ?
@@StoredJT I’ve got a sand bottom pool that has lost almost all of its angles and contours and I don’t have the money to pay a company to do it so I’m giving it my best shot.thankfully vinyl has some give to it so i don’t have to be perfect but later on I plan on having a company redo it the right way.
@@XIscopedXI string tried from wall to wall then measure across the string
@@StoredJT ahh I see,thank you.
Rollin up in the polygon.
Does it look wierd from the side view
Looks fine to me
If old mate had half a brain it would have gone like..."hey, can you give me a half hour heads up before you are finished so i can come over and start filling up the pool" instead of standing round all day like a spare part.. Job like that takes what it takes, you made me laugh with the 'super early bit though', the standard start across the board where i am is 7AM and more likely around 6 in summer (beat the heat).Though commercial gives you that flexibility (no neighbors to piss off)
He stood around watching every second we were on his property too
I suggest just buying the entire box of fittings, if you do this all the time it's not like it will be a waste of money. He didn't really sound mad, just frustrated that his expectations weren't met, and that happens, all you can do is be respectful, which i think you were. Good work.
I was on vacation this was my first day back and my supply was ran dry and never replenished lol, trust me I buy by the box
The builder seemed reasonable but upset. You failed. Stay off your phone, check your materials, and you might have finished. You failed. You made a promise and you didn’t scope it correctly. Pool looks good but you are responsible for this. Builder is in the right. Don’t give a timeline that you can’t accomplish. If anything, give yourself a day or two of buffer, so when something goes wrong, you still finish on schedule.
My boss made the promise the day before it rained 4 inches ?? Lol
Remember the customer is always right even when he or she is wrong and poor planning happens. In the end all will be happy.
I’d address his concern by being straight up honest and affirm your stance getting the pool built done right to avoid cutting corners/complacency. Also, some stuff can be unforeseen during the planning process except when it’s being built. That’s what I would’ve said.
I was half way through typing "I don't think hes trying to be an asshat but thats how it came across" then he starts talking about someone suing so there goes him not trying to be an asshat
Good work bro don’t let the home owner get you sad just Be straight forward with him An nothing bad will happen . For the little things that you can get done in 30 mins you should definitely do . Like if ur needing more 60s an the home depot 5 mins away go buy the material you need
The return of the king
Yup, lol
Not bad
Did that shit for 29 years now I can barely walk shit ain't no joke

Yea I grabbed a womens club on accident lol
@@StoredJT I alg, but you wanna stand a little farther from the ball and slightly bend your knees. Always keep your eyes on the ball until you hit the ball and start rotating. Make sure to keep your balance and stay stable. Don't lean forward or backwards.
It's supposed to go up. Your form sucks. Get lessons.
