Making my Dad's Chicken Curry
Ingredients you’ll need -
Red onion - 200 g
Tomatoes - 450 g
Ginger - 20 g
Garlic - 20 g
Green chillies - 20 g
Vegetable oil - 75 ml
Cumin seeds - 1.5 tsp
Cinnamon stick (large) - 1
Bay leaves - 2
Curry leaves (spring) - 1
Turmeric powder - 1 tsp
Bone-in chicken thighs (cut into medium size pieces) - 1 kg
Garam masala - 1 tsp
Ground cumin - 1.5 tsp
Red chili powder - 1 tsp
Fine sea salt - 1.5 tsp
Chopped cilantro (for garnish)
Note - keep checking while it’s simmering to make sure it’s not sticking to the bottom of the pot.

      Yes, thank you for your reply. I made 2 loaves.... they looked fantastic! I'm not really a chocolate lover so I did not eat it, however, I gave it away as gifts as I wanted something special, I wrapped it beautifully with lovely paper and ribbons. (I used Nutella instead of the chocolate)You are FANTASTIC! ❤🎉❤

    hello! they are baked and out of the oven with the sugar syrup on them! question..how do I store them until I can give them away tomorrow?

      Hi! Once they have completely cooled, you can either store them in an airtight container or tightly wrap them with plastic wrap. Btw how did the babkas turn out?

    I read further and saw that you said keeping it in the refrigerator for 24 hrs. Is ok, so that's what I'm planning to do, maybe closer to 20hrs.

      @@keniacobelli1618 yes absolutely, just make sure that your refrigerator’s temperature is low around 4 degrees celcius.

      Hello The babka is made with brioche dough so butter has to be used but if you really wanna substitute the butter with oil then I would suggest you keeping the same amount and see what results you get (may be we can learn something from it) I am sorry that I was not able to help you as I never made any babka with oil.

    Would highly appreciate if you could give measurements in teaspoons & tablespoons or cups. Not everyone has a cooking thermometer & weighing scale in their kitchen

      I would have done that but when it comes to baking it's always great to use weighing scale where there is no chance to make any error. I find the measurements are off most of the time when I used teaspoons, tablespoons and cups for measuring the ingredients and the end results are not so great believe me. If you really are into baking or cooking I would highly recommend you getting a weighing scale and a probe thermometer, you will always get great results, cheers 🙌
