    The story of Emily West is an exciting, legend, but just a legend, it is not true credible evidence that Emily West was captured by the Mexican army, serve as a spy, or had any connection with Santa Anta. to learn the true story of the yellow rose of Texas, check out my video about the song.

His face was shock and pride that ill never forget. 😅 💛🌹 it wasnt until now did i ever think of using yellow rose as a way to keep her name known. Well at least in my life. Our dearest Emily! I was at the Alamo when I was 10 on a vacation, I remember like yesterday I was in Jim Bowie’s room and I legit was hearing whispers and I definitely saw a 6 ft black shadow on the wall, I think it was Bowie but the freakiest experience I had was hearing footsteps on the roof and I was really confused when I went to tell the tour guide that there was a man in Bowie’s room and I was hearing walking around that I had a run in with either Bowie himself or Crockett

    Why the west (especially USA) focuses squarely on Germany, but completely overlook Japanese monstrosities? The reason is even more disturbing then you might think: USA colluded with Japanese government to cover it up. They did prosecuted few prominent Japanese officers, but only those who commited war crimes against American soldiers from 1941 to 1945. Everything else was ignored or outright censored.

      Members of the Japanese Imperial family: From Hirohito, his younger brother, first cousin, uncle who had their hand directly or indirectly involved in most depraved massacres from late 1930s to 1945 had been granted full immunity from prosecution and exoneration. This outcome falls squarely on two individuals: 1) President Harry S. Truman, and especially... 2) Douglas MacArthur The later one has personal interest from this farce. By relieving Hirohito and the rest of the imperial family from any accountability, this has enabled him through fromer emperor to proclaim himself as the governor of Japan. Utterly bonkers, indeed...

    I do have to disagree with the 2nd point, as the Bomb was an aspect to the war ending. We do know that the combination of the Soviet invasion of Manchuria and the atomic bombs finally convinced Emperor hirohito to surrender. We also know that if the U.S Invaded Japan it would have taken years just to win on Kyushu with the estimate by the U.S Navy being that over japanease casualties including civillian and military would land between 3-5 million, with American casualties falling around 450k-1.25 million casualties. This is not to mention if the Soviets helped in the invasion. Which if they did you can add another million Soviet casualties and another 1-2 million japanease casualties. I think it would have been better to point out that it's not the only reason Japan surrender rather then saying they would have surrendered when they didn't show a single sign of surrendering. Still loved the VID❤

    May I see the source of the "human wave tactic" please? I kinda want to dig deeper into that. Ty

    • @ShortStoryStash
      @ShortStoryStash 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The information is scattered across many sources, be sure to cross reference any source for accuracy. Here is a Snippet from a book I have. "There are three principle ways that human waves were utilized during the war. • In the very early months, the fight was exceptionally desperate and the Red Army often found themselves with no alternative, as they lacked heavy support, and in some cases even enough rifles. Massed charges happened, and there are even accounts of Soviet soldiers charging with their arms linked in solidarity (or to ensure no one chickens out if you are cynical) as they lacked rifles. Wasting trained soldiers on this makes little long term sense though, and it wasn't utilized in latter phases of the war. • The second, and more common use at least through Stalingrad, were the citizen levies (Narodnoe Opolcheniye). There weren't soldiers, but civilians pressed into service and thrown against the Germans to buy time. Some were armed, some weren't. In some cases they were forced at gun point. Most members of the Opolcheniye had no training, and survival rates were low, to say the least. those that did you be absorbed into the Red Army eventually. To quote from an instance outside Leningrad: • "Altogether over 135,000 Leningraders, factory workers as well as professors, had volunteered, or been forced to volunteer. They had no training, no medical assistance, no uniforms, no transport and no supply system. More than half lacked rifles, and yet they were still ordered into counter-attacks against panzer divisions. Most fled in terror of the tanks, against which they had no defence at all. This massive loss of life-perhaps some 70,000-was tragically futile, and it is far from certain that their sacrifice even delayed the Germans at all on the line of the River Luga." • The final type we see is with the shtrafniki - soldiers put into punishment battalions. They were soldiers who had committed crimes, or political prisoners of the gulags, or kulaks, and other undesirable elements, who were atoning for their crimes (real or imagined) with service in the worst position in the army - in many cases the alternative was a death sentence anyways. Service would be for about three months, and if you survived, you would return to a normal unit. But survival wasn't easy. These units would be used for such wonderful roles as human mine-clearers, or in the parlance of your era - "Forlorn hopes". Some units would have 100 percent mortality rates, although the overall survival rate wasn't quite that high! Close to 500,000 soldiers would service in the Shtrafbat by war's end.
