Loved this interview! Such great stories! Leo is an awesome dude, authentic, humble and respectful to Malo, its legacy and the craft of Latin Rock music. I hope to see more interviews and more of Leo. We did Paul too. We call him “Big Blue”, it’s a trip to see a big guy like that hit those high notes. Look, I want more of this and I want more Malo history but also projects. Why isn’t there a good, high quality DVD concert of Malo from the early 70s? My daughter was 7 when I took her to her first Malo performance in Las Cruces New Mexico it saddens me not see the lead singer Arcelio anymore but it brings joy to my heart the lead singer now is from Las Cruces my mommas hometown…Tortugas New México. I WAS RAISED IN SOUTH EAST LA TO THIS MUSIC. WE LOVE US SOME MALO!

Sorprende el parecido, las guitarras de los hermanos Carlos y Jorge suenan similar solo que el ritmo del segundo es más tirado hacia la rumba afroantillana. De todas maneras se nota la influencia del uno sobre el otro. Ignoro quien fué el primero, dos genios de las cuerdas.
