They don’t seem to understand that American accents are mostly regional. If the parents have a strong regional accent, then it’s most likely that the children would have the same accent, but they never do that, even when everyone has lived in the same place.

I knew that my daughter had something different about her when she was only 1&1/2 years old. My daughter is now 23 years old and she is mentally disabled adult with the mind of a child. It can be very difficult raising & dealing with a child that is mentally disabled. But it does keep life interesting, my husband & I try to deal with the difficulties with humor. I remember my first husband(her bio dad) blaming me for our child being “defective”. That was one of the reasons we got divorced. We are very lucky to have found such an amazing man with my current husband.

At the beginning of the 2nd story, while talking about living expenses, she brings up the fact that they have to pay for their son's tutoring. But never again is the son mentioned, even during the divorce and the after story. Just seems weird.

The dad can’t handle his beer and will again drink too much and take things out on him. I was never happier to get away from someone who drank and constantly relied on me for funds. They will not stop drinking unless they want to stop. This is not someone who wanted to quit this is someone who is pushed to and may not be able to just do that cold turkey. Ok I liked the Denise/Kim story. It was very much a Real Life story. Showing how they were as kids and grew up together. Kim grew up out of the extreme abusive behavior towards Denise. Granted she still has an abrasive personality. I also like how she didn't leave her husband because he screwed up and is working to make sure they have a future. Also it was still a happy ending, but not a grand fairy tale ending where she marries some rich man and gets revenge that destroys someone's life. Though it was screwed up that Owen said that crap to Denise then show up with Jayne. Though it almost sounded like a forced marrige on Owen's part. He didn't sound to thrilled, whether it was shame or he's pressured into it i can't say. But it felt off.

Unfortunately violence against men is a real thing. Patty is especially cruel by knowing and using it against him that it would be hard for Kevin to get someone to believe him. But: He has a load of evidence in all the text messages to prove her crimes; he shouldn't had put up with this for at least 8 years!
