The short answerer is they are 2 completely different places and paces! Up town will typically be a younger crowed career focused there's not a ton of families living up town in the condos. There are great amenities up town and there are some amazing family oriented communities with in the shadows of the skyline. lots of it will come down to what your looking for or desire to have. Give me a call id be happy to lay it all out for you. Mint Hill will typically be a little slower, a little more spread out.

​@EverythinglivinginCharlotteNC Charlotte NC has a small light rail but they should extended that from the Jumpstart since thete has always been people commuting for decades and it's been growing fast pace for like 30 yrs I don't know if it's possible though since many things have been maped out..one great thing about the Carolinas is that I think the job market is better than the West Coast and people are fair to give many Opportunities to those California people are mean jerks and act like they are doing you the favor.n9t all are bad but their is a bunch ofvthem out west.since my move out of CA everything has been way better.good luck

@@galeheffner7557 Charlotte is a decent size city. The entire metro is 74 zip codes and 12 different municipalities. Ballantyne for example is 28277. Up town is 28204 The area codes are 704 and 980

Thank you for watching and coming to comment. Charlotte has defiantly changed in the last 24 years. What area are you in know? When you think of charlotte and how you remember it what characteristics make you want to come back? i came back after 16 years.

@EverythinglivinginCharlotteNC we live in the greater Phoenix area. We loved how friendly the people were, how beautiful and green the city was, and that it was a short drive to the beach or mountains. Oh, and it just felt like "home".

@@brucegoolsby1470 Most of those are still true. There really is a ton of greenery in the city. Some publication just ranked us and the 10th rudest city :( I'm not sure what the metrics were. I would still call it a very friendly and welcoming city!

Its gotten a bad wrap over the years and that has over shadowed some of the awesome places but i really think its headed in the right direction. Lets see what happens in the next 5-10 years
