Historic Renovated House Demolished in New Buffalo Township
This pristinely renovated house was bulldozed to the ground and the Natural Environment around it destroyed to make way for a Cannabis Dispensary 2miles south of New Buffalo, Michigan. Built in 1890 by John Christian Horn who served in M company 8th Michigan Calvary
It was built by the last surviving Civil War veteran in New Buffalo area before his death in 1927. Bulldozed down 97 years after his death in the same month that he died.

Took videos of Northern Flickers through spotting scope in April a couple of years ago in our old shelterbelt here in South Dakota. It is not unusual for a wandering female to come into the territory of an established pair and create a disturbance in the neighborhood. I posted before but was able to get a better video with editing.

Looks like an Actionbent rather than a Performer, no?
Go to time frame 10:30 on video. Actionbent bought performers and TW Bents and slapped their stickers on them. Actionbent was just a retailer. Barbara Buatois won Race Across America in 2010 on this stock model.
@@fluffypeanutcat Ah, so you’re saying Actionbent now own the company, or they bought a number of Performers and rebadged those they bought? Is that not illegal?
From a search on Actionbent- "The company was run by these two very dedicated and enthusiastic guys who possessed a great connection with Asian bicycle manufacturers. But alas, the party for them is over. For reasons behond my comprehension, Actionbent as a US importer of bikes and trikes is officially out of business." From what I understand they had a license to purchase from the manufacturer and put there stamp on the product.

Too deep. Hole in the middle is dangerous for the wee ones. Notice how they avoid the centre? Would bathe more readily if it was more shallow

I am glad I found your video. I used to like robins but they are now in my Bully Bird category. Every time an oriole tries to feed a robin comes out of nowhere and scares it away. I am going to try and fix something similar to what you did to keep those bullies away. Also, I would definitely buy an Oriole feeder that you designed. Hopefully, you can get a reply back from the commercial feeder industry. Thanks for your idea!

Our robins are big pigs & just gobble down the jelly. I live in KS and today is the first day the orioles have eaten at the jelly feeder.

Very nice ! liked the two levels of fun. A friend & I rescue birds when they migrate thru the city, birds hit the glass skyscrapers or fall to the cement, most do not survive impact, those that do we get them help. Your Flicker was a bonus I did not even know they came to birdbaths !
Thank you-I went to the links for the videos and thank you so much for your efforts. One of the videos I saw had an injured Rose breasted Grosbeak and a dead Catbird picked up at the beginning of vid. These are 2 of my favorites and so sad this happens. I started my bird care ventures here in South Dakota at the height of a drought back in 2017. Putting out a bath and astonished at the variety of birds visiting my bath the first week- th-cam.com/video/ynA3v-0RHTE/w-d-xo.html. Since then we have had flooding- and eventually going back to severe drought again this year-. I have seen flickers getting a drink before but never bathing. Also in the first year my bath was visited by a Red Headed Woodpecker in the molting stage to clean and rub-th-cam.com/video/ftvrK64fuP0/w-d-xo.html. This certainly was a big surprise.
