Hi, any vet?

Symptoms: Circling, pressing the head against obstructions & unusual walking. Oh yeah. All of that. We had to put ours in the bath tub for safety after she spent the whole night trying to circle the bedroom, walking through her food, water, into the bed just like a robot that short-circuited, which is exactly what happened to her brain. Why the bath? So she wouldn't injure herself with her endless pacing, she was fully unresponsive, didn't react to sound, light, shapes, touch, name ... or even "pspspsps" you could gently hold her down but the second you let her go she would pace round the room. Didn't eat, didn't sleep, didn't drink, didn't stop, even in the bath and would 'bump' like clockwork. She went to the vet that morning and didn't come back. We knew it was a mortal injury and likely a stroke and incurable but the vet still had to try it on ($$$) by offering an MRI scan, we said no, let her sleep she's been through enough. This was a very long time ago and the cat was old, but I was/am very weirded out by it, those 'blank unseeing eyes'. Least we could do was let her go.

The signs and symptoms were not clear and went too quick. I do not know any more than before I watched.

I wish the words and writing could be made easier to read. Writing is Not easy to see!

Very insightful. My avocation for the past 30 years has been observing cats in homes, barns, and community groups. Cats big and small do tend to be solitary, but domestic cats are more like lions, another species that lives in groups. They gather for companionship with their people or other cats. Females will tend to other's kittens. Cooperative hunt. We feed and T-N-R cats around here, and we can see their groups should be called _prides!_ 💖

My 3 year old white cat started developing Iris Melanosis in his right eye when he was 1 to 2 years old ,and now the brown colour is deep dark and spreading even more through his eye. Its made me very anxious cuz the vets r seriously useless and just say if it turns into cancer they will have to cut our his eye. Ive been researching a lot and cant find any information on using food as medicine to reverse the melanosis but I am hoping a lot that a vitamin b12 will help reverse this cuz I read that vitamin b12 can help stop melanin from going into hyperpigmentation mode on human skin.

Fascinating wee things. Each one is different, even though we notice commonalities just like there are with we humans. We have shared our lives and home with several cats and all have lived we into their high teens relocated to their last resting place beneath a heritage apple tree in our yard. It's warm there and is a sun trap. Our current little fella, Lenny a British Short Hair tabby, likes to climb there but at night so do possums and Lenny and the possums don't get along and avoid each other thank goodness for that says I.

One time I lived in an apt. My kitty would often sleep with me One night wee had some cool weather so I opened the window. I didn't know it at the time but the maintenance guys had removed the screen from the window & during the night she got outside. I looked for her everywhere but couldn't find her! Then, exactly 2 weeks later I heard a cat outside my door & was thrilled that my kitty had come back! But she wouldn't come in through the door. Every time I opened the door, she would start to run downstairs again. I realized that she wanted to come in the same way she left. I opened the window & she came back inside again!

My grandparents once had a cat whome they decide to give away because they couldn't keep him. My grandpa took him to the house of the person who would take him. In totaly another vilage. Not even close to my grandparents vilage. They traveled in a vagon pulled by horse. Few days laer the cat came back home. They decide to keep him anyway. Since he came back. They informed the other man that the cat came back. They were told that the cat remembered the sound of our churches bells
