I got Hollow Knight: Voidheart edition for free on the cloud gaming. Its pretty cool..but the the jump system makes me a bit queasy. And I have a few questions: Why does your ghost kill you? And how do I defeat that flying bee with the nectar boss?

This is one of the best ranking videos, not just in the Hollow Knight community, but on all of TH-cam! The atmosphere, phrasing, and overall aesthetic of the entire video are absolutely perfect- I can’t even fully explain it! I love how you breakdown every single entry and analyze each boss through all their characteristics, such as the boss room, rewards, location, lore, music, and moveset. This level of detail is what made the video so special for me. I've watched a lot of similar videos, but this one is by far the best. You can really feel the passion and soul you put into creating it. You did a very great job!

What I love about Deepnest is the progression. At first it is dark claustrophobic tunnels with difficult to beat enemies. If you, like me came here after beating mantis lords, you'll know the game feels like it is telling you, not yet. So you come back and get further in. The area lightens up, gets less cramped and sends some terrifying enemies at you. It swaps aesthetics but not the mood. Never does Deepnest feel welcoming. Then, on a third/forth playthrough, I decided to play with the weaversong charm. This means going to Deepnest as soon as possible. I came in with a plan, coming in through the fungal waste entrance. Sure, deepnest could throw what it wanted at me. But corpslings don't resurrect if you don't kill them. I'm not touching grubs without the map. The floor might collapse but I can dash and even anticipate where it is going to. Weavers are not an issue if they're dealt with before moving on. Sure, the devout ones are still a problem. I'm not at the top of deepnest's ruthless food chain but nor am I the clueless outsider. As I move through Deepnest towards my goal, I do so at the rhythm Deepnest demands. I don't beat deepnest but become a part of it, if that makes sense. A relaxation in a place where everything is danger. That is the beauty of Deepnest. I got the weaversong and I emerged a different hollow knight.

I was surprised to see Ancient Basin so slow on the list. That place, if not one of my favorites, is one of the most atmospheric to me, as strange as that may sound. Allow me to explain, Ancient Basin does indeed feel ancient. I'm reminded of Conifer's dialogue, "Can't you just feel the weight of the kingdom above?" The total absence of music and ambient effects (in most of it anyway) makes it feel dead, reinforced by the fact you can't find any life down there, save infection, and a mere handful of creatures that seem to defy the nature order. The uncomfortable silence creeps into your mind and tells you this place was never meant to be found. The weight of the kingdom above is so immense that no creature should be able to make it so deep to such ancient, primordial places. You were never meant to be here, because there is nothing for you here. That's how the ancient basin feels to me.

Though this is a rating more gameplaywise, for me, theres not really an area that is really bad Yeah some areas are not that replayable but thats sometimes the charm of it, nothing has to be perfectly gaming yknow?, too much replayabiliy in all the areas might have been bad for the game

When you take the monarch wings from its spot the wind stops and the infection stops getting stoped by the wind so it can escape I think

I love the theming of the Hollow Knight stabbing itself. The Radiance was able to control it by an idea instilled, abuse the Hollow Knight's own will. But that will, the idea instilled, that it shall seal the blinding light, is still stronger than the radiance. Seeing the Knight as a true pure vessel and with the Radiance's voice screaming in it's ear the Hollow Knight has a strong enough will to over take the Radiance for a brief time and acts to kill itself as it knows its the only way to fulfill its duty of sealing that blinding light. Even if it is nothing like what was originally planned it can still finish what it started by handing its life and duty to the Knight.

Oh these are tips for the game normally, and not tips for no-hit. That makes sense, because why the hell would anyone do a no-hit of this game, I probably would, if nobody had done it before me.

Your style is amazing! The slow pace is something I’ve never really seen in a hollow knight video. Your voice is so soothing and the writing is incredible. It almost feels like a nature documentary

Nightmare King Grimm was such an interesting fight to me, he feels so impossible at first, but by the time you beat him you are like halfway to the radiant already. Hes entirely consistent imo. The only attack that ever consistently kills my attempts is the spikes just cause i have a hard time seeing it lol. He's definitely my favorite fight in the game.

The harsh words given to the Hive, disregarding anything possibility someone could like the place, just puts me off from watching the rest. Seriously, they assume that no-one could possibly see any use for Hiveblood. The entire area is disregarded as anything even okay. It feels like just because they didn't like anything the Hive had to offer, they assumed the Hive was absolute trash to anyone and everyone.

Thorns and Grimmchild in the same tier as heart is wild. Also Shape of Unn can genuinely be useful in bossfights so it's weird to see it so far down

Nah, ancient basin is the best area. Especially if you count the Abyss as part of ancient basin (which it officially is). I feel this way for three reasons: 1. It’s lore is really cool. This is where the pale king initially discovered void. It’s an even more abandoned and even older civilization than Hallownest. This was here before everything else. 2. It subverts your expectations. After going to deepnest, which you probably perceived as the deepest, darkest corner of the map, it turns out you can go below there. You go in, expecting it to be even more dangerous, but instead, you find it completely… desolate. I love it for the same reason people love ash lake in Dark Souls 1. Ancient Basin has more relevance to the plot, and is an area that is carried more by it’s story and grander implications. Which brings me to point three: 3. The way it fits into the plot is awesome. It’s an optional area, so you don’t have to go there. But going down there, slowly making your decent into the abyss, into the birthplace, is an incredible experience. Roaming the darkness among the spirits of your brothers and sisters is such an interesting feeling. And I don’t think I have to explain to you why the abyss climb is the coolest moment in the game.

The Obblobles, Markoth, and Absolute Radiance are the ones left for me. Obblobble’s randomness just really gets to me, and I know it probably just requires more patience. The Radiance feels doable but difficult while Markoth I have absolutely no desire to try for

if i had to describe Hollow Knight to anyone, i would simply play the City of Tears OST. it does absolutely everything it needs to, and it does it perfectly

this is the part where i TRULY want to delete game. this is the first time i play this kind of game i think it's called a metro-like (where u have to platforming) if i remember it correctly. but the platforming has no business being THIS annoying -.- BTW the video is very helpful. i tried for like 30 times but for no avail trynna pass this stupid set of buzzsaws (and knowing there r more difficult sections up ahead just make this lesser and lesser fun smh)
