Would you say it’s easier this way vs a dozer? For trees sized this way?
Yes, generally it's easier to push a tree with an excavator. You will have more leverage as you can get further up the tree to push.
yes and the dozer has a harder time filling holes

$2,000? I dont think you could load the equipment for less
Easily! You have to think about equipment cost, hauling, insurance, fuel, labor, etc. Target market and customer play a huge part as well. Price jobs where it's worth it to you to work, no one else can answer that for you.
This is sweet! I was going to buy a skid steer for land clearing but obviously i need an excavator... ive already got a medium duty dump truck that dumps 12k with a 10k trailer. I just need a big peice of equipment any recommendations?
The answer there depends on what you can monetize quicker. If you can use a skidsteer for some jobs you have lined up, great it'll start paying for itself. Otherwise, for clearing, get as large of an excavator as you can legally haul. But know that this machine won't do well in small areas or small dirt work situations. Beyond that, rent until you find your nitch or what you enjoy. Thanks for watching!
